HEAT @ BLAZERS 3/1/12 GAME THREAD

This national embarrassment, which happens every time, is why I am puzzled when a poster complains that the networks disrespect us.

I like this ad-hoc Nic at PG thing. I know it's not intentional, but it seems to be happening.

Interesting that guys like Wade and LeBron can get 30+ anytime they feel like it...but our "all-star" big man struggles to get 20 against any team that plays a modicum of defense.

On paper, LMA should be a tough match-up for Miami, but it sure doesn't work out that way.

Nic has done more in this quarter than Gerald has in the whole game.

Not even interesting; it's boringly obvious. We CANNOT GET HIM THE BALL, and if by some miracle we do, he's in such a bat position that HE CANT SHOOT THE BALL, because he's triple teamed and if he tried to pass it back out it doesn't matter because OUR GUARDS COULDN'T HIT THE OCEAN FROM A FUCKING BOAT.

Are you watching this game? Aldridge has no face up game, it's all gotta be jumpers or post ups. Good defenses can take both away, unless you have guards that can penetrate and create.

Aldridge tires easily, then he just goes through the motions. Good 1st-quarter player.

LA's handle pretty much sucks, so he's completely dependent on a guard or some kind of facilitator to get him the ball in a position where he only has to maybe take one dribble and either shoot or drive from a pivot foot. That's makes it tough to be "go to" man. This team desperately needs a Ginobli type to LA's Duncan impersonation.

We are so good at making rallies to make the somewhat exciting but we never finish. We had chances to get back in this game this quarter and we blew it.

Defenses just smother him late because the rest of the team is as unclench as it comes. Like triple teaming Howard if ORL didn't have any 3pt shooters.

getting down by 20+ to the best team in the league in your own house pretty much sealed the deal. The "run" is just part of basketball; this game was never in doubt after the first quarter.

We probably would have done better doubling LeBron and Wade on the catch. That's how bad their D is.

18 points off turnovers for MIA... cut that to 6 and we have a game.

To kill time TNT is talking subject matter usually saved for after the game--e.g. showing graphics of tonight's NBA news and notes. They are hemming and hawing and straining.

Officials are definitely taking this game more seriously than either team. Who give a fuck if the team up by 14 gets 2 shots or 2 and the ball?

Congrats. You just proved you know more about this team than Nate, Chad, or Larry! It's sad that the fans have a better grasp of what is happening than the paid professionals.

Well, it's tough to get a good view from court side... they're all so tall out there! :ghoti:

Need to pawn off all these stupid vets for some picks or long term assets...

I wonder if we can trade Nate for a future 1st rounder....
