You're correct. It was riverman. My bad on that. I'm sorry. That said, the way the question was meant to be asked (and I edited to reflect it) was would you support a law that would allow women to abort their babies up to 60 days after birth...due to health issues, etc., with the baby.

That's not what an abortion is.

There is no such thing as an abortion after birth.

Yeah, but @crandc, would you support a law that would allow women to abort their television sets 30 years after they bought them?!?

Currently, no. I'm asking, though, if you would support a law that would allow a woman to arbitrarily terminate her baby within 60 days after birth due to birth defects, etc.?

Just curious, do you know if your cousins/sisters also regret those 3 abortions?

barfo

This was a very insensitive and hurtful comment. Do you even realize that?

Slippery slope fallacy arguments are complete garbage. Using one to help your point does the opposite.

I'm convinced it eventually won't be out of the question. But, yeah, it won't happen next year, nor the year after.

Would you support a mother's right to try experimental gene therapy on a child born with severe birth defects?

Parents should not have to use heroic measures to prolong the life of a child who has no chance of a real life. Sometimes letting nature take its course is the kindest thing to do.

As for positive action to end a life of suffering. I have done that for my beloved cats. Could it be done to end a child's suffering? Tough call. I am not afraid to say I honestly don't know. Never been in that situation. Maybe I can't judge.

Understand I am talking about little to know chance of decent life, not a bad cold.

Well, not just yet, but I'm sure ABM can see it coming. Slippery slope. Soon we're aborting 8 year olds for talking back in school!

I understand. What if it were a Down Syndrome child (not detected during pregnancy) and the parents just couldn't cope?

I made my position clear.
You have persistently refused to answer questions so stop baiting me.

In regard to my Sat evening post, a body with no brain. Would you force woman to carry to term and spend rest of her life caring for someone with zero brain function?

I bet we'll start seeing people aborting their kids when they don't do their chores!

When do we start giving mods abortion powers? I can see it coming. Maybe not this month. Or next. But it's coming.

Just think if there were even a chance kids would do chores within 60 days following birth.....that'd be nirvana, man!

I read it on a message board elsewhere (I'm super popular with an all black conservative message board in Canada, where I totally fit in). Pretty soon, within a month, we will be seeing abortion powers being handed out to teachers, who will just start aborting students who mouth off to them. I was told it IS coming, just you wait and see. I believe it, because even though it sounds like total absolute nonsense, it makes liberals look bad.

I see. Then down syndrome counts.

I wouldn't force a woman to do anything.

What? You have said repeatedly your top priority is forcing women to carry every pregnancy to term. It's such a high priority you backed an incompetent corrupt reality TV host for president.

Don't know what you mean by Down Syndrome counts. At two months probably not too different from other babies. Eat, sleep, cry, shit.

This is off topic a bit but I just finished a Marc Maron interview of Billie Jean King that was really, really good...I think you'd enjoy it. you can find it on youtube.

...hopefully he runs faster than the '92 bobsled endeavor :biglaugh:

That would be murder.

So has ABM now changed his position and considers women have the right to decide whether or not to carry a pregnancy? If no, then he absolutely does want to force women to carry to term against our will. There is no middle ground. Either the woman freely chooses or someone else imposes decision on her.

Well, Reagan became Governor, then President. Oh, and what about Ahhhnold? Then, there was Jesse Ventura. Oh, and Al Franken, no less.

Walker said in his book that he has multiple personalities. You would look past that plus his lack of experience?

Thosecerainly are compelling, gut-wrenching stories and I can only sympathize. There are many other stories, such as my own, that aren't quite as dire. I would've been a great dad. Actually, I was/am to two wonderful step-daughters (and four grandchildren). No biological of my own, though.

Are you saying the availability of abortion was the reason you did not have biological kids?

Agree with Barfo. I applaud any positive influence in a child's life. However, being a good step father (in your opinion) does not mean you would have been successful being a father from birth.

Larry Elder replied to accusation of sexual assault by showing a picture of the woman and saying she is too ugly.

Discussing reparations on Candace Owens' program, he said slave owners should receive reparations because their lawful property was taken from them. Said lawful property being human beings.

This is a person ABM admires.

I never said that he was going to be the best candidate. I said I was excited that another Black Conservative is in the race. That said, all truths will come out...as well they should.

I'm saying that I was part of 3 abortions. In each case, I would have taken on the responsibility of raising any one of them. However, I left the ultimate decision(s) in each of the mothers' hands.

I would have loved to have the opportunity to be a father from birth. I mad the statement I would have been a great dad from the get-go....and that's entirely my prerogative to state....whether it would have played out that way, or not.
