It's not my favorite Pac song, but I like the idea behind it. It was really unique at the time it came out, and I'm sure erveryone can relate to it's message, but still.

New Song:

Will Smith - Summertime
(probably my 2nd favorite rap song after T.R.O.Y.)

Invalid Video Link

^A - Classic. I don't even really **** with Will Smith songs that much, but this might be one of the most played hip-hop songs of all-time.

Jay-Z - Song Cry

A- Good song, when I had my lil middle school girlfriend drama I would always play Song Cry

Creative metaphor in the first verse, and Lupe Fiasco is that dude. How do I post videos?</div>

Here's the video code:

[<font color=""black"">y</font>outube]6dWlFTZGNK0[/youtube<font color=""black"">] </font>

You just type <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/), then end it with <font color=""black"">[</font>/youtube].

As for the song:

A-

This was the first time I've heard this. Everything I've heard from Lupe so far has been good stuff though. I can see why there's so much hype. This really had a cool early 90's feel to it (probably because of Jill Scott's hook).

New Song:

The Fugees - Fu-gee-la

Wyclef's verse was nice (hard to hear in the video), but Hill's hook made me love this song. So catchy.

Method Man - Release Yo' Delf (the hook is censored... kinda makes it less funny)

B-

The chick's hook was pretty annoying to me, and I couldn't really get a lot of the lyrics, because they were a bit nonsensical, but it had a nice sound to it.

New Song:

Bone Thugs - 1st of tha Month

Classic, typical Bone Thugs song, one of my favourites from them thats for sure.

"What They Do" by The Roots

That's an A. Even though it's like the worst song on that album, It's still an awesome song. Black Thought is one of my favorite MCs, but I don't like a lot of the stuff the Roots have been putting out lately. Things Fall Apart was the last album from them that I really got into.

It's got a real raw, dark sound to it with the beat. But, the lyrics are what makes it stand out. The 3rd verse, in particular, was great.

Xzibit - Paparazzi

B for Xzibit, I like the video and beat, but the hook is over used.

Breakestra - Getcho Soul Together

C, I thought it was kool, but wasnt really Hip-Hop

Also damn you Thrilla for stealing my next song! lol.

Invalid Video Link

It was more like Soul, or R&B or what ever you want to call it, very James Brown like.

There was no 'rapping' either.

"And I aint gotta know Karate like Afu-Ra", hahahaha. I havent heard alot from Ra, but I liked this, production sounds like it was done by Premo?

Reppin the CA, Tupac, California Love, the beginings alil wierd.

California Love gets a D. Probably the most overplayed song of all time.

Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common - Respiration

One of my favourite songs. Gotta love any collab of Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common.

Notorious, the song I posted was "Livin Proof" by Group Home, it said that in the Video...

"Runnin" by The Pharcyde

B+, very good, I've heard of them before, but this is the first piece of music I've heard from them, very impressive, I'll have to peep more!

Now this song isnt your traditional Hip-Hop song, infact its a dance track by German Trance DJ Ferry Corsten, although, Guru spits over this track, take a look:

That's crazy man, I totally loved it. The video is crazy too, one of the best I've ever seen. Here's my contribution keeping up with a similar theme...

Real nice beat. Stupid lyrics/concept. Bonus points for making an unintentionally funny hook.

Instead of following the old school trend, I'm posting up a song with one of my favourite beats and a funny video. Ignore the first 1:28 of the song (I couldn't find a video without the beginning of "As I Come Back" on it). If VC rates, he should either appreciate or absolutely hate the beginning.

Busta Rhymes - Break Ya Neck

A+

Hahahaha, when you said "If VC rates, he should either appreciate or absolutely hate the beginning." I had to check it out. I thought you meant that stupid song in the beginning at first, and I was pretty confused. I like the tribute though (because I like Busta and I like the song). One of my favorites of his, and I'm really surprised I never noticed that intro, because I was way into that song when it came out.

The YouTube video doesn't really do justice to that song though, because it used to be played all the time when I used to hang out at D&D (a club in Memphis that was the G.O.A.T. before it got shut down), and when the bass in that song would kick in you could just feel your whole body shifting... very effective and powerful bassline...

New Song:

David Banner - Cadillac's on 22's
