I'm a huge Outkast fan. They're what hip-hop should be these days.

Here's one of the few new acts I'm actually feeling:

B-

Not bad. The song is pretty catchy and it sounds pretty good.

This Is Why I'm Hot - MIMS

F- to the infinity.

Dude, I can't express in words how terrible that song was. Ugh... I need to do a better job of sheltering myself from mainstream hip hop. It angries up the blood.

I'll post up another video soon.

Haha, I knew someone would post that. That's why I had the smile.

lol, I'm still getting over how terrible it was. Here's mine:

Tragedy Khadafi ft. Big Pun, Canibus - Enemy of the State

B-

Just not feeling it too much.

I don't know why I was listening to this right now, but who cares.

Man, I remember that song being played a lot on the radio. Its catchy for all the wrong reasons. The music video's kind of funny though. Here's mine:

Wordsworth - Gotta Pay/Trust

Invalid Video Link

B tight track, not many people know Punchline and Wordsworth, but they're pretty nice.

Point Blank- Born and Raised In The Ghetto
Invalid Video Link

B+ I usually really like to listen to rap that's about people's problems but I like that song.

Here's a local group that's been on the radio lately....

Hooliganz - "Stevie Wonder"
Should be the first song on the player

Yes, our universe seems to unwind proficiently inside deep netherworlds in great gaseous explosions rewinded slowly.

I give it a C.

New song:

Kiss's great flow, that sick Jaguar and that beat is very hot make up for the yet-another-poolside-with-honeys scene. the video started good when it was just him and one chick - very minimalist - then for the second verse he had to bring out the cliches.... doesn't ANYONE want to be original anymore?????? Still the beat is hot. I'm going to have to get it.

MY RECOMMENDATION:

Naledge and Double O - GO ILL
Don't know why these guys are so slept on. They're better than Lupe to me.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">F It was really hard for me to listen to haha</div>

Er... why?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Don't know why these guys are so slept on. They're better than Lupe to me.</div>
I haven't listened to them yet, but I suggest you step your mixtape game up. Lupe has 3 ill ones outside of F&L.

The Go Ill song was pretty cool, but it's not much different from the majority of rappers material, it just wasn't ignorant.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Er... why?</div>
I don't understand how you can post a non hip hop track in the Hip-Hop Recommendation thread and expect people to like it as hip hop. You did the same thing with the RHCP earlier in this thread already when the video was basically a parody on rap.

<div class="quote_poster">Voodoo Child Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Er... why?</div>Really don't like the overall sound hard to even understand what the guy is saying over the sound of the instruments, and the speed he is talking.

Wait, it's hard to understand him? I can't understand what half of these rappers are talking about, even the rappers who are supposed to be intelligible. Compared to most of what's out there, I would have thought it would have been easy to hear.

Lyrics:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Time to swing a little melody
To make you all feel something sexually
And now we're gonna get it on in the groove
The groove that makes those smooth lips move
We are pumpin' that drivin' bad rythm
To make those pretty little ***** lips schism
Kissum kissum kissum

In the mind is one design
To make you feel fine
Suckin' on mine with a 69
I'm inclined to ****, ****, ****, **** your brains out
Make her moan make her groan and make her shout
Push it all in and pull it all out
Pump that labia 'till it pouts

Open your legs to the sensual sound
With the beauty of the beat on your pretty wet mound
I can tell you're like a horny bloodhound
Feel the bass, hump the ground
Just drop your knees and come unbound
And now you make your mouth to get on down

Our lust for notes will boil your blood
When they slither and slide on under your hood
Makin' me shoot my power packed pud
Like a wild lady lovin' a firehose stud
Causing what is known as a juicy wet flood
Gettin' it gettin' it gettin' it good

In my head, theres a hellified hum
I take to rubbin' her on the bum
Just a little on the tum
With my thumb I strum her plum
Start to make her orgasm
Tastes a little bit like oozing hot cum

Well I like to make her cum
To the rythm of the drums
Make cum, make cum, cum</div>

Chili Peppers are a solid band but this wasn't a favorite. I really like "Good Time Boys" and "Aeroplane" and of course "Fight Like A Brave"

here's a new rapper from Queens, he is a Lupe/Kanye type. Not sure if i like him yet, but....

He's alright, but he bites too much from Kanye and Lupe. Their style is way too evident in his. Next up...

Gang Starr - Full Clip

This is argubally my most favourite song of all time, love everything about it, sick delivery, production, just a genuine sick song.

Invalid Video Link

B- It's an okay song but it just doesn't stick out to me. Just seems a bit boring of a song....

El P - "Flyentology"

Invalid Video Link

C

The video was cool, rhymes were simple.

Invalid Video Link

B- It was a pretty catchy song but it's Will Smith. The guy should just stick to acting......

Tech Nine - "Riotmaker"

It's #4 on the player, so you gotta click on it.

D
I've never been a fan of rap music with rock to it, they steal talented music and disgrace it. The flow was nice though

Will Smith - Tell Me Why

Who says you can't make good hip hop without curse words?

B

I'm not a big fan of Will Smith, but that wasn't bad. It was much better than pop rap garbage he was putting out for a while. Simple rhymes and flow, but he had thoughtful, honest lyrics. And it never hurts to have Mary J's voice on a track.

Xzibit ft. Eminem - Don't Approach Me

Invalid Video Link

D

Haha, I love it when these guys try to act hardcore. There's nothing less intimidating than Eminem and Xzibit.

Their vocals really don't mix either. Xzibit's got a dark, raspy voice, but Eminem's is high and squeally.

Serious question: Do you guys actually listen to this stuff? I just don't understand how anyone can enjoy this stuff on any level other than just blairing loud music in their car or something like that. It's just hard to listen to. To each his own though.

New Song:

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony - Weed Song

Happy 4/20 eve everyone!

What do you mean? Eminem & X, harcore rap, or rap music in general?

<div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What do you mean? Eminem & X, harcore rap, or rap music in general?</div>

That particular song. Some hardcore rap is okay (I'm a huge David Banner fan...), but that was just obnoxious, imo.
