In addition to Kirilenko, there are now whispers here in the Rose City that Brandon Roy's knee surgery was far cleaner than imagined and that he could be back in uniform for the start of a second-round series or even -- gasp! -- the end of the first round. This would be amazing considering the original diagnosis was that he'd be out for 4-6 weeks, which would have put his return somewhere between May 9 and May 23.
Roy himself brought up his possible return Wednesday, just five days removed from surgery. While several hurdles remain -- he hasn't worked out yet, for instance -- it provides a major glimmer of hope for the injury-battered Blazers. If they can just win two of the three home games they have coming up, their star may be back for a seventh game next Saturday.
