At least he started the right guys after the half.

But Aminu should not have started the game. That was the wrong move. We all knew it was the wrong move. We got into an early hole because of it.

Zach and Hood came in and did just as bad in the 1st. Zach fouls so much not sure we can start him.

Nurk, our second best player lost for the season. Enes an injured shell of himself. Hood injured. Dame played terrible in game 7. I can't believe this team made the WCF!!!

Evan Turner was huge in the 4th quarter when Dame/CJ we're exhausted. Stotts stuck with him and he was huge when we needed him.

Go Blazers!

The bigger issue for me is not that they start him but they try to get him going early. Why? With CJ, Dame and Kanter on the floor....let's get them going early! But yes Props to Terry for sure

2 of those fouls were BS calls to favor Jockitch and one of those calls was BS because the defender has to allow the player to catch the ball and land if he is up in the air and catching a pass. If you ask me it was Zach's defense that kept us in the game in the first half.

Maybe so... but Millsap didn't do jack shit in this game. He only hit three shots. Zach has played excellent defense on him.

I would look up his points by quarter, but NBA.com blows ass and I can't figure out how to look at each quarter's stat sheet.

Guilty as charged. I can do better

I do know that Millsap made all 3 of his shots in the first quarter. Which means he did not score any on ET nor anymore on Zach after quarter 1.

Stotts made the right moves in the 2nd half.

I do have questions though.....

When we lose or have bad stretches a lot of people will say that Stotts just doesn't have a good enough roster. Is this proof that the roster is in fact good enough and we should expect more than a 1st round defeat?

The fact is Denver completely choked. They hit their first two 3 pointers and then proceeded to miss all of their remaining 17. If they just make one or two out of 17 and win the game are we still praising Stotts for a great game? Do players hitting big shots or choking determine whether a coach is good or not? Or do people believe that good coaching put the team in this position?

I'm really not trying to turn today negative. It was fucking awesome! I just don't know if Stotts should be given a pass not to dog him when he almost cost us the series if CJ doesn't go nuclear and Denver doesn't shit the bed.

We also shot terribly from 3 though, did we not?

Anyways my point is always that coaches get too much blame and praise. Stotts did what he could today and it helped.

How many predicted we'd go in a hole early with Aminu and Harkless in the starting lineup? Probably everyone. Stotts is fantastic getting the most out of his players (that he decides to play); his big problem is ridiculous-level stubbornness with his starting lineup. How can Stotts not acknowledge that? Certainly Nurkic and McCollum should be much harder to replace than Harkless or Aminu, yet the Blazers kept winning when those 2 key pieces couldn't play at all.

Game is four quarters long. We won the game and the series.

Quit trying to be what you aren't, the coach of the Blazers. The players that came in for Aminu and Harkless didn't do any better. When Stotts made the subs we were down by 7. We ended the quarter down by 12 and soon found ourselves down by 17 without Harkless and Aminu in the game. They aren't responsible for the team shooting horribly in the first half.

all you have to do is go to ESPN and look at the shot chart and do it by quarter for whatever individual you want. You also seem to be forgetting that Turner guarded Milsap for periods of time. Give him some props as well.

Stotts deserve praise for what this team accomplished this year. You bring up all of Denver's misses from 3. Well we missed tons of shots from 3 as well so what if we would have made a few of those. Do we get the same consideration that you are giving Denver?

How dare you?

You better quit trying to be someone you are not!!!

I'm telling you what to do right now. ;)

LMAO

Terry has his strengths and his weaknesses like most coaches. Other than Jack Ramsey, I have never been totally happy with our head coach.
There are a few coaches out there right now who I would rather have, but not many.
