Trade CJ after the playoffs.
Fire Stotts - Replace with Tibbets for the rest of the year. Let the GM choose this summer.
Fire Olshey - Would McGowen be able to run thing in the interim? After the season, replace with me, or someone that would make the exact same decisions I would.

Shut Dame down for the rest of the regular season. We are pretty much guaranteed to be in the play-in no matter what, so I would rather have him at full strength for that. Who knows, maybe we will get hot and make a run that will get Powell to stay.

I don't know if this fulfills the requirements of the OP but firing Olshey is the minimum change I would be OK with. Obviously Neil being fired would result in other big changes so in theory it's me calling for all of the changes besides ownership.

The biggest reason that I think Olshey has to go is that this team that he touted as a contender has shown to be nothing close to that.

If you want to put that on Stotts it automatically goes back to the guy who has had him as head coach for nine seasons. If it's the players... that's Neil as well. The abject failure of this season falls at the feet of its architect.

I'm sure if the team did what I want and fired Olshey today McGowan would assign someone like Cronin who's been with the team for longer than a decade to do the non job of interim GM while they found a permanent one by the season's end. Wish it would happen but would be shocked if it did.

I do think both Olshey and Stotts time will be up if we miss the playoffs but the Vulcans have let me down for a few years by keeping these guys.

Why would we want a change in ownership? We regularly spend at the top of the league. It's not like some new owner can come in and buy more success. With so many bad ownership situations in the league, I'd be confused why anyone sees ours as a problem.

Some might say that it's not about the money, it's about the lack of interest that Terry and Neil's long and unsuccessful tenure might be indicative of.

I don't want the team sold, I just want McGowan to make the changes necessary for us to contend.

Because right now we have an owner that doesn't really care about the team. It was never her passion. She didn't buy the team. There are owners that are too involved, and there are owners that aren't involved enough. I think Jody is probably fine with letting the experts conduct the business and unfortunately that has given Neil a ton of control over the team.

Apparently the only change was for me to stop paying for YouTube tv. I don’t get to watch the team. I inherited it from my dad.

(YouTube is freakin expensive and we have to fit $1800 into our budget for daycare)

:sigh:

There are less expensive options available to you. Might violate copyright, but...

Paul Allen provided a level of supervision/accountability over Olshey. Jody Allen is AWOL in the organization chart, due to lack of interest.

Yeah, I know.... I was using Youtube because I could watch a ton of channels and it has an unlimited DVR.... but it's too expensive for me right now.

I understand the last memphis game at home Bert Koldie and Chris McGowan were sitting courtside and Neil was conspicuous by his absence.
I still think Koldie will end up owning a good portion of the team at some point.

Ownership is alright with Jody but she needs to hire someone with basketball knowledge over looking the whole thing that can make decisions to either keep a GM or fire him same as the coach. Maybe Koldie is the guy to do that for Jody.

Id prefer new ownership with someone local. being a Satellite for the Seattleite, Vulcans, is not ideal imo.

Kolde isn't a billionaire.
