I don't understand how someone can be an atheist and not believe that there is some supernatural being who at the very least created our universe. Even if you're moronic to believe the bullsh** Big Bang theory, then how did the energy that created this explosion that in turn created life that we know it exist if there was nothing there?

Yea, I don't know how some people think everything was just there. Someone created it, every molecule, thing, to start it all.

Exactly, I mean people can say what was before God and stuff, but if you believe that he is a supernatural being then it makes it understandable that he can do anything, I mean the big bang theory is so full of holes it's just absurd, it's basically accepted as truth today which is ridiculous.

It's because both theories don't have much proof. The God theory is just as "absurd" as the Big Bang theory.I do believe in God but there is proof for neither. Just got to put your faith into what you believe.

some ppl are just stupid thats the loophoole in why ppll dont believe in god see

No, because if you believe in God then everything makes sense, if you believe that then you can believe that he did whatever scientists can't explain. The big bang theory doesn't even make sense, you can't have faith in it when it's not even logical. If I believe in God then I believe he created the universe, if I believe the Big Bang theory then how do I explain how the explosion happened?

i kno im saying scientists are stupid i do believe in god

Basically it's like this, if you believe God then that is the explanation for things we can't explain, but scientists have to have a logical explanation for everything, and the big bang theory is an example of a situation where there is no explanation.

And a supernatural being who somehow was just there is a logical explanation? I don't know.

The point is that scientists have to explain everything and that theory has unexplainable holes.

I think the theory is that the world grew on it's own with out any ruler looking after it. I don't believe in that. Thats what atheist's think though.

People are just stupid like that... It seems more people on forums don't believe in God.. in real life in my community everybody believes in god. On sports dome there are so many god haters. it pisses me off.

What the F*ck BCB? That's not the point of this at all, what a stupid response.

Oh, well if you did believe in God then you would believe that those who don't go to Hell, in which case you would probably care that people don't believe in God.

Who is anyone to come up with any crackpot theory of how the world began. The god theory is stupid (so some huge guy in a robe said "Let there be light" and light just appeared?) and the big bang theory is too confusing. All this happened billions of years ago and the reality is no one has any clue of how the universe was created.

^Bingo. Nice points. And that was the theory JustBlaze, so you can stop being an asswipe..

People will always think God is phony because a supernatural being was never revealed to us, so something like that seems unatural to us. Anyways, an almighty being makes more sense than a big bang theory.

I don't really believe in a god, but I really don't believe in the big bang either. What you're proposing is a simple either-or fallacy. You either believe in God, hell, satan, and Co., or you believe in the Big Bang. There's no other possible explanation for existance. That's not really accurate at all. Some people don't believe in either, and I know this sounds silly, but some people believe in both.Science isn't always right the first time. In fact, usually it's wrong for a very long time until somebody figures out the mistakes made in the original theories and finally creates something with scientific backbone. Darwin wasn't completely correct about what he wrote in The Origin of Species. He had some things right, and he had some things wrong. It's still a theory, and it probably always will be. There is no test so far that has come up with the same results every time to prove it true. The reason it is considered scientifically fact by some people is because there were other people around Darwin's time piecing together a similar theory. Other people came to the similar conclusions about how species relate, and still do today. In the same vein, the Big Bang is a theory. It's not a law, but an idea that some people have for a possible explanation for what could have happened. There's probably a lot of concepts they have wrong, and a lot of pieces missing. The reason a lot of people take this theory as fact is because they see a deductive pattern. Scientists have found that the universe is expanding. It stands to reason that before, the universe was smaller. Their idea is that if you keep going back, eventually you would find that the universe was extremely dense (your claim that before the Big Bang happened there was "nothing" is not what most scientists believe, I don't think). Science is not about being right, it's about finding what is right.I was Christian for nearly 15 years, so I've seen both sides. I personally don't put all my faith in science, but there is validity to some of it. The reason I stopped putting faith in God is because it stopped making sense to me. I found that I was stretching my reason to allow myself to believe in something. If anything, I'm apathetic now. Agnostic would be a pretty close description of me, if I liked the term. Some people believe God does everything, and some believe he does nothing. The thing that bothers me about it is that there's no proof that he really has a hand in it, to me anyway. When someone dies of cancer, they say, "Well God chose to bring them to heaven!" and when they live they say, "Thank God for letting them live!" It's just vague and banal to me. If your family chose not to let you live, you wouldn't be happy about it. Why does God get that courtesy? Well he's God, duh! To me it's not fair or logical, but whatever.

I would read, but I just don't care what your bisexiential (bi sexual + science lol) theory is. And it's too long, no one's gonna read what you said, no offense.

The theory is that an explosion created the Universe and all life as we know it, not that "our world grew out of nothing." Maybe if we were talking to preschoolers we would explain it like that.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Justice @ Jul 4 2006, 05:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You either believe in God, hell, satan, and Co., or you believe in the Big Bang.</div>I didn't say that, you either believe in the existence of an supernatural being that created life as we know it or not.If you believe that God is in control of the Universe and everything in it then you would believe that he chose to let people either live or die.

The Big Bang seems as foolish as creationism to me....'Some explosion happened from nothing? That's ridiculous.'...Sounds as unrealistic as some god coming from nowhere and creating the universe...

I mean, a summary of your first post would be, "How can you not believe in God? The Big Bang is retarded!" The logical train of thought there seems to be that if you don't believe in God, you must believe in the Big Bang. That's why I brought it up. It has nothing to do with misreading, either.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JustBlaze @ Jul 4 2006, 08:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>If you believe that God is in control of the Universe and everything in it then you would believe that he chose to let people either live or die.</div>I guess you would have to. The part that bothers me is that people say that things can be attributed to God, whether it be complexity of the world, our bodies, the distance from the sun, or whatever. But how is someone supposed to take them seriously when they attribute EVERYTHING to God (even the things that a complete douchebag would do, like wipe out New Orleans)? Maybe it's just me that finds it silly, I don't know.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AirBlaze @ Jul 4 2006, 06:16 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I would read, but I just don't care what your bisexiential (bi sexual + science lol) theory is.
