How do we get Tyreke Evans?

The more I look at some of these SG stats that blue provided the more impressed I am with Iggy. Although I still wonder how much his team's style and pace attributed to those stats

:dunno: I thought so too but he is listed as SG with this website.

ESPN has him as SG so apparently he can play both

Hmmmm, It would be nice to have both Igs and Batum starting. That's a long back court. And all three players (Igs, Lillard and Batum) can all facilitate. I am down for getting him and making Matthews our 6th man.

As long as you don't have to rely on Iggy to be a go-to guy then he would be a good fit. He brings other things we don't have.

Combining him with Nic and Damian and LMA could work. He is just not a very good jump shooter. But if he is just as effective as Tony Allen we are in good shape. And you can argue that he is better than TA. (and much more expensive)

Never particularly liked Iggy - he's always reminded me of (a better) Gerald Wallace. I haven't really watched him play since he's been with DEN. My uninformed impression is that he's due for a major decline. Isn't he in his 30s now? Thoughts? Seems like he'd help a team that's on the cusp, but would be a waste of time/money for us.
I'd much rather pay Tyreke $9M than Iggy $9M (and I'm guessing Iggy is more like $14M?).

Well it is a good try out year for a player that could possibly be in a decline. If Iggs doesn't opt out; then we have a 1 year trial period. If Igs doesn't work; then we will have 10 mil free next season; just in case we need it. Who really knows; maybe he pans out.

Mannn you guys in here are trippin talking about Iggy and Jack. Nice players, but they are role players on the wrong side of their prime. Tyreke Evans is one of the most talented guards in the league and he's freakin Lillard's age. He has great size and athleticism to complement Lillard on both ends (there are some who think he will develop into an elite stopper with the right situation and coaching), and he can penetrate and create for himself and others. His biggest weakness is shooting but it still makes him a good match with Lillard, Matthews, Batum.

This is the kind of guy who can change our fortunes. He's probably readily available due to the Kings' stupidity and dysfunction (see: Thomas Robinson trade, c. February).

Pretty high phrase. You really watched him enough this year to come up with that opinion? Not disagreeing, just wondering if this all comes from his rookie year. I barely noticed him the few times I watched the Kings this year. But I never really focused on him.

If you are right then I would be all in for spending most of our cap space on him. A starting SG excites me much more than the centers we have been discussing. But only if he beats out Wes.
Not paying that kind of money for a bench player.

Get a starting SG, and move Wes to the bench. (He can play with Barton .)

Even if one of them suffers, I foresee a positive synergistic effect for the team's overall success because they complement each other very well. Dame/Reke/Wes is a terrific three guard combo with skills that few other teams can replicate in the backcourt.

Reke = my no.1 target this summer, but he's a RFA unfortunately.

I'm late to the party but I'm all-in now. The more I think about it, the more I think Evans could easily be the needle-mover Olshey has in mind. 23 years old, former ROY with elite talent. Coming off a very efficient season.

Evans would immediately be our 3rd best player behind ROY Lilly, and Aldridge. Dont understand some people here.

I don't think there is anyone here that doesn't agree with you. We are talking about other players possibly available. Obviously if I had a choice; I'd rather have Evans than Iggs too. But we can't always get what we want and we should talk about all options. If we get Evans, then we can talk 100% on Evans.

Then we can trade Batum! He and maybe Leonard could land us a top tier center.

Well, Batum and Leonard should be able to land us something nice. But I think it might be better for the near- and long-term to get a cheaper defensive center, keep Batum, and develop Leonard.

Dream scenario is landing Evans and Asik. Is it possible if we trade Matthews?

I think offering Batum and Leonard would be ideal for Asik, Robinson and Jones

I think Batum is essential to have if you get an Evans (or Iggy) type player. He spreads the floor. Batum is a perfect complimentary type player. Maybe over paid for the 4th best player on the team, but none-the-less would fit in well with the other three.

Maybe not the worst idea. Robinson is a nice prospect and I'd probably agree to your trade. But if the Rockets could be talked into #10 and Matthews for just Asik, wouldn't that be better for us?

Plus the Rockets have Parsons. He is their Batum.

I would would pretty happy with a Lillard, Evans, Batum, LMA and Asik starting line-up. Its not perfect but it would be fun and it would compete for sure. Not sure if its realistic or possible.

His three has improved but since teams have adjusted (crowding him) he doesn't look like the Roy-esque he did during his rookie year.

I'd put that lineup against just about anyone in the conference.

No offense, but it doesnt seem like many people watched Tyreke all that much this year. This season is arguably his best. More efficient (better decisions shooting, scoring, passing) which shows that he is starting to mature (I honestly thought he would be like JR Smith, a talented but immature glorified chucker) but he is proving that wrong. He also plays on a team that lacks any sort of chemistry that all try and get there own stats filled out. With a poor coaching system and an inept front office. And Im pretty sure he wouldn't be our 6th man.

You pretty much described why DMC should be our #1 target.

I think you are right. My question is..... did you? Or are you going on just his improved stats?
Not trying to be argumentative here, but like you said I wonder how much anyone watched him this year. I probably caught "partial minutes" of only about 10-12 games. (Which is not much at all)
