So I notice in game threads mostly, that someone will post that they just got home from work and only caught the 2nd half or they forgot it was on and started watching in the 4th quarter. I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't want to miss any of the game.
How do you guys watch? Live, recorded?
I record games from around the league every night, wait til the wife and kids are asleep and then watch. If we are out somewhere where I'd see the score of a game I really want to see, I go out of my way to not look. And I definitely stay off of social media. Don't want the game ruined for me. I do this with college football/hoops/Timbers, anything.
Just curious how you guys view is all. Anybody else like me that make sure you don't hear the score and watch when you get home?

i usually set the games on record and start watching them an hour later. skip the commercials and halftime. works out to pretty much live tv by the end of the game.

Youtube TV; I watch the first quarter, then get my oldest son ready for bed, then when he's asleep, I watch the rest of the game. Typically by then the game is over, so I can decide whether it's worth watching or not. Lately, it's been totally worth it.

I honestly can't avoid a game while it's happening. I never have. If I can't watch, I'll follow the box score or listen to the radio. If I'm recording it and we lose, I won't watch the game. If we win, I'll watch it. It just kills me to not know what's happening so I always tune in somehow.

youtube tv is the best thing ever. now they just brought on NBAtv too. only things they are missing for me is discovery and history.

I am mostly the same, but I am better at avoiding the games at times. The best thing about the NBA is that there are so many games. The worst thing about the NBA is that there are so many games (at times I need time-off)

For me I don't own a TV right now. so if I'm near my radio I'll listen to wheels call a game. If I'm out I have the blazers app play by play.

Sounds about like me.

Is the league pass available on YouTubeTV?

I watch all games live and have rarely missed a game over the years. The exceptions are if my kids or grandkids had a game or an event which will always take priority.

Usually kicking back in my leather chair, with a good looking topless women serving me Johnny Walker Black to sip on throughout the game.
Im a Comcast prisoner!

I try my best to watch the games live on TV. The Comcast Sports App they introduced last year really helps in being able to watch when I'm at work or out and about. Often though I do have to record the game and watch later. I go out of my way to not see the score.

Funny story from last week: I had a rec basketball game during the 2nd half of the Lakers game. So I watched the 1st half and then played the game. As I was leaving the gym I overheard two of the guys on my team say that they ended up losing after blowing a lead. I was mad they had spoiled it and that the Blazers lost so I didn't want to hear anymore. I left and went home and decided to watch the 2nd half anyway. Boy was I surprised when Dame went crazy and I kept thinking how the hell do they blow this after Dame did that. At the end when CJ missed the free throws and a bunch of dumb shit happened I thought for sure that was going to result in us losing. I asked one of the guys the next day what the heck he was talking about and someone had asked him if the Lakers had won so he wasn't talking about the Blazers losing.

How do you convince your wife to do that for you? Asking for a friend.....

I can’t record with my package through Prism, but I can rewind live TV. My oldest goes to bed around 8:00, so I’ll turn on the box and go to the channel I need and then I’ll turn my TV off while we finish dinner and put him to bed.

After leaving his room I’ll rewind to the start of the game without trying to look at the score and watch from there. It works out well because I’ll get to skip through the commercials and I’ll occasionally skip through free throws or half time. I usually catch up to where the game is live midway through the 4th quarter. Works out perfectly for how I’d like to spend my evenings.

However, that doesn’t really apply to east coast games because of the early start time. I usually watch the second half of those with my family.

What I have really enjoyed lately is having my phone in the other room while I watch the games. I’m much less tempted to get on it and miss some of the action. In turn, I’ve enjoyed Blazer basketball much more instead of posting here during the game... which is kind of a strange concept if you really think about it. I suppose you could say it’s a microcosm for what ails today’s world.

Most of the games on my laptop. Luckily, I can afford sleeping in the morning so I watch most of the games live.

You can get enough Discovery and history on NetFlix. I've been curious about YouTube TV though. My Comcast bill just jumped to $180.

Watch on TV when nationally televised. I just logged onto Reddit where I can supposedly stream onto phone? Not great, tiny screen, would prefer probably just sound but have to figure out how it works.

Otherwise follow scores from time to time on NBA TV or nba.com to see how Blazers are doing.

Always have knitting but when posting live get less knitting done. I have on a few occasions jumped up and pulled stitches right off needle.

mine was there too. now i pay $35 a month for YTTV and about 80 for comcast internet. i wish i could just get centurylink internet, but the best speed they have for me is 40mbps. thats not going to cut it considering my wife works from home and we have a few streaming devices.

NBA League Pass. Got the Dallas Mavericks only league pass for my job, but I paid the extra to get the full league pass to watch the Blazers.

For me, You tube. Great advantages. All the boring parts and most of the faulty shots are left out. It's like getting a condensed version without commercials. If a network has a game, I'll be watching it until it's over.

League pass on my iPad. My only problem with that is if I want to watch a game after it’s over without knowing the final result it’s nearly impossible. Since in the nba app you have to click on the game box, which shows the score, to watch. The NBA.com app really needs to have a place you can go to watch previous games that don’t show the scores. It’s so much more enjoyable to watch when you don’t know how it turns out.
