How Donald Trump Bankrupted His Atlantic City Casinos, but Still Earned Millions

Sure, just like someone had to protest the funerals in Orlando.

The question is, why are you that someone in this case?

What is it that offends you about Hillary that doesn't offend you about Trump, that you spend all your energy on her and not him? I understand of course that you support neither of them... but your lack of support for Hillary seems a lot more vigorous than your lack of support for Trump, to the point that you seem to be defending him now.

barfo

I don't protest funerals in Orlando. You do like to make shit up.

I am equally offended by Trump. I don't post anything in support of him. Fuck him.

At best, I think Trump would be incompetent an just do not much for 4 years. I'm fine with that from ANYONE.

At worst, I think Hiliar is going to do some real damage. Ask the people of Libya about the damage she did there.

Ok, so let's give you the fantasy of flipping PA to Trump. Why you would fantasize about that is beyond understanding, but to each his own perversions.

What else are you going to flip? PA alone doesn't do it. If that's your best shot, it's still a long shot...

barfo

It's not my best shot. It just flies in the face of the narrative by the press. You know, that she starts with 240 EVs. She starts with 240 EVs minus PA minus a few others, no doubt. That is, if her map really is the same as Obama's. She's no Obama.

??? I didn't say you protested funerals. I merely implied that you were as disgraceful as Westboro Baptist, that's all :)

Oh really?

You are fine with Trump. Got it. Yeah, "fuck him, but I'm fine with him".

At worst, I think Hiliar is going to do some real damage. Ask the people of Libya about the damage she did there.

I'll be sure to do that.

Time to unskew the polls, then!

You are fine with Trump. Got it. Yeah, "fuck him, but I'm fine with him".

I'll be sure to do that.

barfo

I'm fine with republicans refusing to let Trump get his agenda passed should he be elected.

I'm not for either of the two candidates. I don't see either as the lesser of two evils. This is the worst election choice in my lifetime.

barfo

The polls don't say she has 240 EVs. They say Trump is behind by 47 EVs. If he wins PA, it's more like 27, which is hardly insurmountable considering there would be 143 EVs up for grabs.

Sure. You should presumably also be fine with republicans refusing to let Clinton get her agenda passed should she be elected. Right? It's probably more likely that republicans will obstruct Clinton than they will obstruct Trump.

I'm not for either of the two candidates. I don't see either as the lesser of two evils. This is the worst election choice in my lifetime.

So I ask again, why is your commentary on the election so one-sided? Shouldn't you be attacking both equally?

Sure, and if he wins every state, then he'll have 538. No problem then.

The trouble is, he's behind in pretty much every state other than the ones Romney won. And even some of Romney's states look shaky. Like Utah, for example.

And Romney didn't win anywhere near enough to get elected.

I would rather Trump pick the next two justices. Actually Johnson, but you're stuck on the notion of both.

He's within 5 in enough states

Romney didn't win PA.

All but one of these within 5, post Hiliar bounce.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I'll put you down as a Trump fan, since I don't think you are going to be able to get your Johnson up (to the 15% he needs to be in the debates).

Might be more than 2 justices, there was a bit today that Clarence Thomas is thinking of retiring after the election.

barfo

How many electoral votes do you get for being within 5?

And neither will Trump, most likely.

barfo
None. But Trump is so bad, according to you and the media, he shouldn't be within 5 points in states "routinely" won by Obama. A number of the swing state polls are within 2; within the margin of error, or effectively a tie.

Watch out for Jill Stein. If Sanders voters have any conviction behind their support for the man, they'll be voting for Stein.

Oddly, when Johnson is included in the polls, he hurts Hiliar more than Trump.

If Thomas retires, all the more reason to oppose Hiliar.

You are right, he shouldn't. But he's the Republican nominee, and there are lots of people who will vote for the republican nominee no matter who he might be. [The same is of course true on the democrat side, and probably for libertarians and greens too].

But, I think it is a pretty big stretch to think that because the polls are close-ish, that means he's got a shot at actually winning those states. As noted, the polls are close in Utah. I don't think Hillary is going to win Utah. Your Johnson might come up big in Utah, tho.

She may very well do better than in prior years. Color me not worried at all.

This.

They said he couldn't win all along.

Objection 1: Trump is a loose cannon who might offend other countries and maybe even start a nuclear war.

Trump has five decades of acting rational in business dealings, and getting along with people all over the world, including China and Russia. By now you would have heard stories of Trump being a loose cannon in his business dealings if such a thing had happened. We are hearing no stories of that nature.

Objection 2: Trump is terrible at business, as proven by his several bankruptcies.

Persuasion: Ask how many bankruptcies Trump has had. Most people say between 5-10. Then ask how many entities Trump has his name on. The answer is about 500. Then ask if that is a good performance for an entrepreneur who is often trying things in new fields.

Objection 3: Trump is a racist.

Trump has never mentioned race beyond pointing how how many African-Americans and Latinos support him. Ask your anti-Trumper to offer evidence otherwise. Then point out…

Mexico is a country, not a race.

Islam is open to all races.

Objection 3.1: But Trump wants to discriminate based on religion!

Persuasion:
Clarify to the subject of your persuasion that Trump only wants to discriminate against non-citizens. That is literally the job description of a president.

For context, point out that Islam is unique among religions in that it includes an order from God that Muslims should overthrow any government that is not compatible with Islam. Moderate Muslims around the world ignore that part of the religion, but refugees are coming from places where it is considered mandatory.

Objection 4: Trump is anti-women and anti-LGBT

Persuasion:

Trump is the only candidate calling out Islam for its followers’ views on women and the LGBT community.

Trump has a long business record of promoting women to executive positions in his company. He was doing it years before it was fashionable.

World’s Largest ‘Fart-In’ Is Planned for Hillary Clinton’s Acceptance Speech in Philadelphia

Philadelphia: Cheri Honkala, the leader of the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign, announced that her group was organizing the world’s largest “fart-in” to be held on July 28 at the Wells Fargo Center during Hillary Clinton’s anticipated acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination.

“We will be holding a massive bean supper for Bernie Sanders delegates on American Street in my Kensington neighborhood on the afternoon of July 28,” she said. “We are setting up a Clintonville there, modeled on the Hoovervilles of the 1930s where the poor and unemployed built shanty towns. The Sanders delegates, their bellies full of beans, will be able to return to the Wells Fargo Center and greet the rhetorical flatulence of Hillary Clinton with the real thing.”

It's not their job to stop him. It's to report the news without bias.

Tell that to FOX. It is not the duty of TV news outlets to be unbiased. Ideally it would be, but the FOX model is working so well that other news channels have been pushed even more to entertain and be more partisan and extreme to get and keep viewers. FOX isn't all bad, but their exploits are well documented. The other shows are shit as well so nobody has to rebuttal with MSNBC et al are biased too, etc.

I wish everyone could stop with the woe is me, the other guys are biased waaa waaa. Nearly all the news shows have some bias. This is the climate all of the extreme uncompromising brainwashed party before country dimwits on both sides have created.

Denny, though I am replying directly to your quote I am not directing the name-calling to you. It is for those people that it applies to. I'm just venting my frustration at our country's problems.

Cute, but probably ineffective.

I read this, and I was not persuaded. I don't think he's anywhere near as good at it as he thinks he is.

Ralph Nader made your kind think differently in 2000.

Yes, in a close election, a third party candidate can be a spoiler. This probably won't be a close election, but if it is, then the vote for your Johnson, tiny though it may be, is more likely to spoil things for Trump than Stein is for Clinton. And don't bother telling me again how Clinton voters like your Johnson.

I don't think Fox is unbiased.

When lefties whine about money in politics (campaigns), they don't consider two things: 1) the effort to destroy trump by the media is worth hundreds of $millions if the campaign would have to pay for all that air time, and 2) if you make laws restricting free speech (money), the guys with the money will buy/create newspapers or other media outlets that can't be silenced (freedom of the press).

And 3) it wasn't money that won Trump the republican nomination - the big money was against him

And 4) it wasn't money that beat Sanders - it was the undemocratic party rigging the election against him

So you're saying the polls are skewed (in Trump's favor). Got it.

Bullshit...Clinton and Sanders have addressed this issue many times. Sorry, I don't buy it Denny....Trump is a photo negative of what a president should be. He doesn't discriminate though...he'll hate on anyone that contests him on any level. The sooner he goes away, the better off we'll be. I'm not a Hillary fan but I really don't have an ounce of trust for Trump's character. You can't call Hillary a liar without seeing the lies for votes Trump has puked all over the media.

So you're saying the polls are skewed (in Trump's favor). Got it.

Nope. Not saying the polls are skewed at all. As far as I know, the polls (in aggregate) are correct.

It's just that the election isn't today. But if it was, the polls say Clinton would win in an electoral landslide.
