Even if they started Ayton, Grant, Sharpe, Ant and Malcolm
and brought Scoot, Thybulle, Camara, Reath, and Walker off the bench?

That team does not make the playoffs but I doubt very much they are the worst team in the league.
Well i guess this road trip has me up in arms.

Completely disagree, we have had many injures all season long. We aren't the worse team in the league we aren't good, period.

Everyone wanted a rebuild, which comes with many losing season no matter if your coach is Billups or Pop from the Spurs or Monty from Detroit.

Fans think they know more than anyone else lol, and have expectations way too high, we aren't good talent wise with a young squad and many green players.

That's the truth.

so when are you going to inform these 15 guys that they don't have any talent? I didn't say they were championship contenders, I said good coaching would get them in the playoffs playing 500 ball. Don't get it twisted young whippersnapper!

the Remix head coach should take lead whistle in Portland. The G-league kids enter NBA games running and sprinting and doing basketball things. Unlike the players on Chauncey's squad.

I knew it was going to be bad but geez the players might like Billups but they sure as hell are not playing there asses off for him at the moment. The only thing missing from this team this year is to have a losing streak like the Pistons had but if they keep this up maybe that is next. I did not expect the Blazers to even sniff the playoffs this year but I thought they would play there asses off and then get run over in the 3rd to 4th quarter and lose. I do not think Billups gets canned during the season but if Jody and Cronin keep him after the season then they both need to be run out of town and every fan should want this too.

Warning, my comment below is sick and twisted.

No more short leash for Chauncey. From now on, he wears a shock collar. Who wants a remote?

Mo Cheeks was better

No. You can't be worse than Mo Cheeks. That guy would spend half the game chatting with fans behind the bench. He made us suffer through an extra season of his 'coaching' by helping sing the national anthem when the young lady froze and forgot the lyrics, and I will FOREVER be bitter about that.

I still don't know how good or bad Chauncey is. His first season as head coach the Joe admitted and we all saw that the roster was unbalanced and flawed... instead of fixing that at the deadline Joe just cut bait and then he said again in the off season that he hadn't fixed the problems going into the regular season... he said they would evaluate and make changes at the deadline a deadline in which they continued to make moves that looked like we were headed towards a rebuild and we tanked after. Now we have this roster and I don't know anyone who thought it would be competitive and it's not... Chauncey had them playing inspired ball at the beginning of the season but teams can only take so many losses without guys who are win now players (Jerami, Ant, Malcolm) starting to phone it in and we see the result of that.

None of this shit would be fixed by a better coach, we need a better roster. I suspect that Chauncey will struggle with a better roster but I think this roster will get worse before it gets better so we still won't know. I don't think we'll have a winning season by the time Chauncey's contract expires and I suspect we'll move on at that point and get a new head coach until then I think these calls for Chauncey's job are silly. Chauncey has done a good job at developing players and why would you pay Chauncey not to coach and a new head coach not to win?

Ettore Messina would be my first choice if there was any way?

because the new guys aren't improving, they're regressing. ...Chauncey has certainly shown me he's not putting an address on some glaring issues including lack of ball movement..lack of rebounding, lack of scoring in transition, all the things he preached are gone without a trace
We create turnovers and can't comvert them into points....we miss a ton of free throws...it's not looking good at all. Maybe Chauncey is having too much fun...he keeps talking about how fun practices are. I'm sure at this point, Larry Brown wouldn't be having so much fun in practice.

Our young guys aren't regressing they're just inconsistent. I would advise you to go and look at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's game logs from his first two seasons... young guys are inconsistent even if they're headed towards superstardom... LeBron would be the exception but even look at Kobe's first two seasons.

We are above the league average in FT%.

The ball movement happens when Ant and Jerami aren't pulling their shit.

The lack of rebounding is on roster construction and has recently been magnified by Deandre's absence.

It's not looking good at all because we don't have a good roster at all, just some nice prospects and guys who need very different players around them than they have, with the goal of winning to be at there best (Jerami, Ant, Malcolm and Deandre).

This roster wasn't built with the intention to win, the rotations show an obvious emphasis on development. Most of you in here belly aching were spouting delusions that this team could win this season before the season started.

The bottom line is that you think Chauncey is doing damage to our young guys and I don't. You want to pay Chauncey to sit at home and pay someone new to lose and I don't. You also thought this team had a chance in hell at winning this season and I didn't.

I don't agree with everything River said, but we are definitely regressing. Maybe not Scoot, but Sharpe has regressed some in my eyes. He is not doing the things he should be doing to make more of an impact like he was the end of last year and the beginning of this year.

With that said, there were injuries pushing him up the ladder. Is he simply deferring to Ant and Grant due to them being vets and if so? traded them now.

The bigger factor though is the team seems to be regressing as a whole. I see less and less quality spacing, lack of discipline on offence, etc.

Hey, maybe Chauncey's coaching career will mirror his playing career, and he'll be really good...for his fifth team. Trouble is, we're Boston in this scenario - the shitty Boston coached by Calipari.

Then he finally went to a team with a decent roster and blossomed..

Say it ain’t so
