It's available on (HBO) OnDemand and it's probably one of the most interesting/disturbing docs I've seen:

Why have a doctor murder you when you can just jump off a cliff at Manzanita?

Seems cowardly to me to allow somebody else kill you with pills.

meh, less mess, far less trama for family or friends. No search and rescue pain in the ass recovery bs, no investigation. far better way to go than a lot of ways I have seen.

Some people are so screwed up that they can't actually get up themselves and jump off a cliff.

Exactly. Assisted suicide is for those who are physically unable to end their extremely painful lives without help.

I guess they could ask a doctor to toss them off a cliff.

You're a fucking joke of a human being sometimes, buddy.

If being a joke of a human being means not wanting to see doctors murder people, then I guess I'm a joke.

A joke of a human being advocates the willing murder of another human being. Cowardly, IMO.

Sometimes? That's a compliment.

I know your history of depression, as you've shared it many times. Think long and hard before you decide to put your life into somebody else's hands.

It's a cowardly way to go, IMO.

Let's say one of your family members is dying a slow painful death, you'd be ok letting them suffer until the end if they wanted to end the pain? Oh wait, they can just jump off a fucking cliff, that's cool.

The cliff is noble, like falling on a sword. Letting somebody murder your is cowardly, IMO.

If that makes me a "fucking joke of a human being" to you, no biggie. I've dealt with death many times with people who are the closest to me. We all have our own opinions.

Murder is a strong word in this circumstance don't you think? So you watched the video, right. The woman in the video, dying of some terminal disease, is a COWARD because she wants to stop suffering? How the fuck could a thought like that even cross your mind? But if she jumped off a fucking cliff, it's all good? WTF MAN!?!?

"fucking joke of a human being" was harsh. I apologize for that.

So because I've had depression that means I'm considering letting someone kill me?
