This hunt is for American-Indians only, no whites allowed, as with everything else on these racist, trophy-hunting enclaves.

Not that I've ever met any hunter who would "hunt" a horse.

I don’t know if this is the same thing, but in the Yakima tribe they “hunt” the wild horses but that doesn’t mean kill them. It’s catching the horses and then they either sell the horses for slaughter to Canada as it’s illegal in America and at least the Yakima tribe doesn’t have a horse slaughterhouse, or most of the horses are sold to rodeos as wild horses to wrangling.

I have no idea if it’s the same or different around you @MARIS61 but I suspect that it could be. “Hunt” may just be capturing. The Yakima do refer to it as hunting.

why does the fee section say..Navajo, Navajo spouse and non Navajo $10? Then Navajo vets, seniors $5? Sounds to me like a non Navajo can shoot a horse for 10 bucks....

Non-Navajo refers to other tribes.

That's generally called a roundup.

I have several American Indian friends who hunt (not horses) but have never heard a roundup referred to that way. Will ask them when we next cross trails.

In this case, the mention that the minimum caliber is .243 for the hunt clarifies they are shooting wild horses.

Ya, I have to say I just don't like it. I have a horse, or I should say my fiancee has a horse and I've really grown attached to him.
