When I watch the local news, I video copy it. In addition to fast forwarding through the commercials I also get to skip through the weather forcast and cut to the 7 day forecast. I just pause at the forecast, look it over and move on.

I hope everyone has evacuated the hell out of there. I visited Wilmington this summer and had a really fun time. Ran into the water right on Wrightsville Beach. My best friend went to Uni there. After Vegas, that was probably the place we had the most fun. I know that @Boob-No-More will hate me for saying it, but Oklahoma City was a blast too.

Because not everything Trump does is unprecedented horror that warrants hysterical reactions. Most past presidents have done plenty of horrendous shit. Trump just talks shit and is a moron so people with moral objections pull their hair out whenever he says anything. For some reason other presidents get a pass because they act professional while murdering thousands. It's a stupid form of moral posturing to pretend Trump is the worst person ever. He is a jackass but it gets old to constantly be told the world is coming to an end because of it.

I have a cousin who lives a little bit south of Charlotte. She says they have been safe and nothing has really hit there like they thought it would.

Hopefully it remains that way, but Charlotte is inland and the storm is just now touching land and it's moving at a very slow pace.

I have one cousin who headed for the mountains with her dog and another cousin and an aunt and uncle who decided not to evacuate after all and just stay put. There are no tall trees around us, they say. Crazy motherfuckers.
