I have a feeling that the 1st target will be DeAndre Jordan.....

I think they are going to be looking more for defensive awareness and smarts as opposed to unharnessed athleticism. Hibbert, Chandler, Asik, Noah... these are much different types of centers than Jordan and McGee.

None of which are available...

Well this front office regime has already tipped its hand on its interest in Hibbert, though that ship has now sailed.

Of the guys I listed, Asik is probably the only one attainable, and then only if the Rockets land Howard.

I would be very disappointed if we got Jordan. He's just not good. He can't be in at the end of games because of FT shooting. He doesn't do much well but dunk and Hickson could do that. He showed a little promise early in the season (against us) but it faded away. And he was useless in the playoffs. I'd rather have Leonard and Olynyk.

McGee, I like. He produces when he's in a game. He has lots of potential. Played well in various playoff games against Lakers last year and had at least one good playoff game this year.

Oh I think Jordan could be available. Look at how much playing time he gets.

Yeah. $11.25m/year for a guy who got abused by Marc Gasol and averaged 3ppg/6rpg in a series seems like a great deal!

Well in Jordan's defense, I think Jordan would do better playing with a guy like Aldridge that a player like Griffin by his side.

I would rather have Jordan than McGee. McGee has a very low basketball IQ. Sometimes players just need a change of scenery. McGee has already had that.

Karl sucks... That change wasn't for the better. Karl likes uptempo games. A shot blocking center isn't much to run up and down the court. Establish defense and have him block the skinny guards that were having field days on us in the paint.

I think we'll go after Dalembert if we're smart.

I'd be interested to see old rumors from the Clippers with Olshey at the helm, and see who he had targeted at the time, and if they are still possibilities.

Jordan can add interior defense and toughness. Also he has a shorter contract for a little less money per year than McGee.

I haven't studied either center, but McGee didn't start and didn't get a lot of minutes during the regular season while playing behind Koufos. Jordan started and averaged 24 mins a game on a deep Clipper team.

Nice having Olshey because he should know what you get and don't get with Jordan both on the court and off the court.

I think the Clippers either trade Jordan or Butler this summer so they can make a run at a big name vet free agent and then re-sign Paul . . . if that is allowed under the new CBA.

Man that would be stupid for LA. KG and Paul Pierce are so old. I don't care if Doc Rivers comes with them or not. KG, Paul Pierce, and Chris Paul are not a championship team imo.

Agreed. What a horrible idea.

That's a good point. If we get Jordan, than you can bet Olshey saw something he liked in him. OTOH, if Olshey thought of him as overpaid then the discussion won't even get started. We can speculate all we want, but Olshey certainly has an opinion of Jordan's worth.

He was GM when LAC signed him to the deal. Whether that means much, I dunno, but he was fine with matching the offer he got at the time.

Eric Bledsoe, DeAndre Jordan and the #25 pick to Portland for Wes Mathews, JJ Hickson and the 10th pick?

Trading picks with a S&T isn't very likely to happen ever. And I dunno why LAC would want Hickson.

Well Hickson did show he can play center and the Clippers need to get better at 2nd chance points.

he doesn't want to play C, and he's shown he sucks at defense at the C position.

If we can get Jordan or McGee without giving much up, I wouldn't be opposed to it. If we could somehow get McGee and Iggy, plus re-sign Maynor, I would feel pretty good about our offseason.

Lillard/Maynor
Iggy/Matthews
Batum/Claver
Aldridge/Freeland
McGee/Leonard

That would be an awesome move! I don't think we have enough cap to get it done. Although maybe they'd take back freeland to help absorb some of the difference
