Well, he has been a senator for a long time. Its too bad that his campaign is not focusing more on what he has done as a senator and accomplished in contrast to Obama. McCain doesn't even do anything except whine and smokescreen. He has a track history that could have been used to contrast with Obama's non-experience. he should have used it.

Problem, is, in many cases his track history contrasts with the positions he is running under in this campaign. There's just no good way to spin this. Either he's a liar; he's pandering to a particlar subset of the party and has no intent on following through; or he is losing it. Maybe he thought he couldn't win unless he went this route, but he has to live with the consequences: that he lost a lot of votes that he would have gained.
