Trade Idea Ideas for Ant

There aren't a lot of options with players under contract, but what if it was for a sign and trade?

I hate the John Collins idea.

I think the Wizards would dump him for picks at this point. They are in meltdown mode. At times he was the best Wizard last year.

You want to trade Ant to the hated Lakers -- I am begging some to please use that thing between your ears before suggesting a trade. Why would the Blazers EVER send the Lakers Ant now granted other teams seem to be stupid that way but I have to believe Cronin is not even that stupid.

Dallas might have more than the MLE. Not sure who else. He would be worth it for sure since we would still have Ant to trade.
But I don't think he would choose us.

I think he's worth 18 - 23 mil. If we offer the most, the Wizards actually get something and we get our wing. Works out for everyone.

As the floater of said Collins idea, I'll say that I'm not in love with it either. Just seemed like a decent fit in terms of player availability, roster balance, etc.

I don't hate:
- Kuzma, OG, Harrison Barnes, packages w/ Nurk for a C upgrade.

Scouring rosters (also filtering out teams we don't want to make better AND teams who will be wanting Dame, cuz they're not likely to help us do anything to hang onto him...):
- Robert Williams (eh), RJ Barrett?, Bamba (eh), Huerter?, Bagley? Bobby Portis? S&T for Middleton? Isaac? (can't see ORL wanting more Gs at this point )...

If its just Ant, there's a whole lot of eh. Packaging him w/ Little or Nurk or (if also trading Dame) expiring contracts and draft picks may have to be the way to go...

I really think Nurk needs to go, we are transitioning to a fast paced style of play and Nurk is useless for that. Plus he sucks and I’m sick of his inconsistency.

Kuzma is a decent player, IMO, although a bit of a chucker. I sure don't like that he only shot 33% on three's this season but still gunned up 7.5/game. That's piss-poor shot selection

I don't know what the Wizards want to do, but I'm betting they have no interest in Ant and his 26M/year contract. It would have to be a 3 team deal...

...something like Ant to Orlando, Harris to Washington, Kuzma S&T + Bol Bol to Portland. But the Blazers would have to grease that deal IMO, by at the minimum sending 2nd's and cash to Washington

and the Blazers would be hard-capped, and that's a bad place to be if all they are getting is Kuzma

I think Gafford fits into one of our exceptions. So Kuzma resigned at 22 mil and traded for Ant. They give us Gafford for our exception.

Or the only legitimate offensive option on your team. Obviously he'd have a different role. He seems like a high IQ guy who plays good defense from what I hear. Can he guard 3s though?

Pacers have Haliburton, Mathurin, Hield, Duarte, Nembhard, and McConnell at guard. Don't why they'd want Ant and his salary
