If Boozer opts out, the only real places he could go to who would offer him that max-type contract are OKC, Memphis and Detroit.. not exactly primetime destinations now. I'd say so. They're at $72M without Milsap. They can't let Jarron Collins, Brevin Knight, Ronnie Price, and Morris Almond all walk. So, they'd have to take on at least another three players to even out the roster. You're then adding another $2M maybe in salary. That puts them up to $74M without Milsap. They're already over the luxury tax limit, and since the threshold is supposed to go down to the mid $60Ms, I don't see how they could afford Milsap. They'll be paying twice as much for him.
