Not sure why the Magic would be interested in CJ. Doesn't fit their timeline at all.
But I'll take Isaac.

Doesn't seem to fit for Cleveland either. Not sure why the Magic would be interested in CJ. Doesn't fit their timeline at all.

There's no way Dame is happy with a CJ trade that doesn't net a similar caliber player.
CJ is a classic buy low candidate. Teams can try and consolidate 4 quarters to trade for a dollar (CJ being the metaphorical dollar here). But yeah, unless we are also blowing it up and trading Dame I can't imagine us actually being interested. I've tried to trade CJ in so many scenarios but we're heavily constrained by who we can take back, and also his age doesn't fit many team's timelines.
Everyone keeps saying Simmons but I just don’t think it’s on the table unless Portland severely overpays with picks. I’ll eat crow if it happens though.Philly or NY make the most sense in terms of fit. So either we make the trade for Simmons, or we flip him to someone with assets that we can in turn flip for something of equal talent as CJ.

My point is I’ve looked for those guys. They aren’t available or it makes no sense for the other team. Trading CJ for assets with the intent on flipping those later is not gonna sit well with Dame. I’ve tried trades for almost every team and they just don’t make sense . My conclusion is that most likely, CJ is back next year…I'm just saying either you're targeting an equal talent like Simmons, or you're trying to get assets for CJ that you flip for an equal talent.

Yeah I’ve looked at those too. If it happens it’s some teams plan F. I dunno, I’m not optimistic. No it can't be a trade for assets that you flip later. It has to be immediate.
Here's the framework. Maybe more to come from CHA. This makes us a lot more balanced.

We get a huge trade exemption, and Neil wins Exec of the Year.
#notgonnahappen.
If Indy is willing to give up Turner and Warren for just CJ, why would we involve the Hornets at all? Here's the framework. Maybe more to come from CHA. This makes us a lot more balanced.

cuz Nurk + Turner doesn't work as a combo. I was trying to find someone who would want Nurk.If Indy is willing to give up Turner and Warren for just CJ, why would we involve the Hornets at all?
Nurk has a higher ceiling than Turner. Pass!cuz Nurk + Turner doesn't work as a combo. I was trying to find someone who would want Nurk.
And i like Hayward much better than Warren.
in what universe?Nurk has a higher ceiling than Turner. Pass!
Nurks potential to be dominant, as he was prior to the injury, is still possible under new coaching. Turner is what he is. He's good, not great. Nurk CAN be great. We've seen it.in what universe?
MT is actually younger than Nurk and led the league in blocks while hitting 1.5 threes a game at a very respectable clip.
the only think Nurk has on Turner is his passing, but they're different players.
Haters gonna hate.Turner is another one of those players that blazer fans overrate because of the seemingly popular theory that everyone that plays for another team is better.
Nurk hasn’t had a PER below 20 since he first got to Portland. Turner hovers around 15 for his career-literally average. Nurk is a much better offensive player, rebounder, screener, and facilitator. Their DBPM was identical. Really the only thing Turner does better is block shots.

turner isn't exactly the picture of perfect health, but the fact that he is actually able to play in more games than nurk is telling.Nurks potential to be dominant, as he was prior to the injury, is still possible under new coaching. One thing I'll call out, Turner has played more games in 5 years than Nurk has played in 7.
I really have no use for these perpetually injured players. Nurk, Collins, etc.
Not to mention that he is more mobile covering the perimeter on D than Nurk and has been hitting a three a game for the last three seasons which improves spacing. I don't know why people in here were acting like it's a clear call who is better between him and Nurk. Nurk has more skills to draw from but if we're talking about who fits better in the modern game, it's obviously Turner. That being said, he's kind of injury prone, not as much as our guy but it isn't a good thing at all.Turner:
Averaging a league-best 3.4 blocks per game, is currently out with a partial tear of his plantar plate in his big toe on his right foot. It’s unclear if he will be back this season. Only seven players since 2000 and three since 2010 have averaged over 3.3 blocks in a season. Hassan Whiteside is the most recent player to do it, averaging 3.7 in 2015-16 with the Heat. Nobody, arguably, in the league right now has better timing when rising to block or alter a shot than Indiana’s 6-foot-11, 250-pounder. All-Stars James Harden and Jaylen Brown, for example, shot a combined 7-of-25 when Turner was the closest defender this season, per Second Spectrum
Not to mention that he is more mobile covering the perimeter on D than Nurk.
Look at the film, he's quicker laterally, faster in straight lines, has better recovery and is just all together both more athletic and smaller.no he’s not.
