Though fun, I hope we all realize how silly this discussion is. This is basically considered by most to be the best draft since 2003. .
Cleveland would not have to or need to include anyone besides the #1 for a Love or LMA trade
Let us have fun, dammit
nah, shuttin down fantasy island

Who is the #1 pick in your opinion.
probably Wiggins but could be Embid if health (back) concerns are taken care of
Are back issues ever really taken care of for centers?
Wiggins will go #1. And unless he becomes a lights out shooter with someone in his face, and is able to attack the basket with a good NBA defender on him.....he could turn out to be very average.
My point is I am not so sure either is better than Love or LMA. Right now I have my doubts. I get exited when I see guys like Wiggins because of their explosive athletic ability, but unless they have the handles to attack the basket, AND a consistent jump shot, they will struggle in crunch time. Of course if he does continue to get better than he could be lights out. You got to take him, but he is no "Can't miss" pick. Love and LMA have proven they are for real. So I am not sure an even swap is fair.
I don't follow NCAA, so I don't know anything about these prospects. But with regards to "struggling" with his shot and crunch time, I would say that those concerns are alleviated by having Lillard. If Wiggins was going to be the guy we build a new team around, those could be real concerns. But by bringing him onto a team that already has players like Lillard, Wes, and Nic I think most of those concerns are diminished.Wiggins will go #1. Additionally, people keep saying that even if his offense is questionable his defense is great. If that's true, then he'll always have a spot on any NBA team.
If he has the potential to be a great wing I say go for it. Wings are generally what win championships, there aren't many great wings in the league today, and PFs are the most easily replaceable player.
If Olshey thinks Wiggins has LeBron James kind of talent, there is zero question on what he should do: Start taking anti-psychotics and going to therapy. You really think LA can get back two number one draft picks? I will say this, If Olshey thinks Wiggins has LeBron James kind of talent, I don't think there is any question on what he should do.
How many teams have won a title with a PF as their focal piece... Especially a mid range shooting PF. Dallas with Dirk and then.....

SA with Duncan.
Mavs won with Dirk and some might say Detroit with Sheed or Celtics with Garnett. Jazz got close twice with Malone. Power forwards have carried a lot of teams deep in the playoffs.
They can call him whatever they like, but Tim has always been more of a center.

Last two years with Bosh? Year before with Dirk? Lakers twice before that with Gasol? Garnett the year before that? So basically all the teams.
Wouldn't you say Kobe was the focal point?
I guess just depends on how you want to define people. I dunno what makes him "more of a c"
Nobody said championship teams didn't have a power forward. The question was, on how many championship teams was the power forward the team's 'focal point' or No. 1 player, and in the context of whether in today's NBA, is a power forward more important to a championship than guards and wings?
