If we had to cut players...

Who would you not be bothered seeing the front office cut to accommodate an unbalanced trade?

...presumably to accommodate an unbalanced trade sending out Ant/Ayton/Grant, which players would you be OK with the front office simply releasing if necessary?

What players are coming back in ? What position?

I'm moving Jabari, Murray, Banton and Matisse. Banton is too inconsistent but may have some value after his start. Jabari and Murray are youngish, cheap and aren't terrible. Matisse could have value for a contender as a bench defensive stopper.
If DA is in the plans to be traded, I wouldn't trade Reath. Cheap contract, spaces the floor and seems okay with the role. Reath as a third big would be perfect. Without Reath and RW, we would be one RW injury (very likely) from being out of bigs, except for Clingan. RW would be the perfect backup big. Great locker room guy, great defense and rebounding, cheap and not old. (There has to be some veteran presence and he would be perfect for Clingan to learn from).
Don't know why anybody wants to move Rup. He's just starting to show what he was drafted to do. Young, super cheap, long and improving as a shooter and some of you want to trade him?
I actually am starting to hope they are looking for a good young PG. Either as a backup or insurance if Scoot doesn't grow.
Right now Cronin has the team in purgatory. Chauncey isn't developing the young talent very well. We're using tradeable assets to stay on the playoff fringe with no hope of making waves in the playoffs as is. Vets are taking valuable PT from young guys that need the minutes. Every game they do win is messing with draft odds.
Looking at a potential Scoot, Shady, Deni and Clingan lineup, with a possible Flagg or Bailey addition, is mouth watering.

Thank goodness we have a qualified team in the front office making these decisions and not fans. Yikes

Can we make Chauncey a player and cut him first?

I can't answer this without knowing who we'd be getting back, but keep in mind that I'm also not in the camp that Grant/Ant/Ayton have to be dealt yesterday.

Package Ant with Grant or, god forbid, Timelord (why couldn't he be a bit younger and less injury prone). Joe REALLY should be on the phone with teams as we speak.

No, am fairly certain it only works in reverse. YTou can convert a 2 way to a regular deal, but generally deals aren't able to be renegotiated

That makes sense.

Let them all go.

If you love something, set it free.

If it comes back after it is old, overpaid, and worn out, it's yours.

If we had to cut players, I would slice them either on their backs, or forearms. Those types of cuts should not affect their game near as much as having a laceration on a leg or bicep/tricep...if I were to cut any of the players, that is.

I am glad to see we are not trying to convert players, against their will, to a new religion.

Not sure when Scoot's team option is guaranteed but at some point we might even consider cutting him. He somehow is shooting worse than last year, can't finish inside, and routinely throws passes above the backboard. Clingan and Rupert are younger but both have had more impressive games than any of Scoot's.

Just not an NBA level player. We bought the hype and were wrong. It's a sunk cost, time to move on.

One of the dumbest posts in a long time. Congrats.
