first, I know it's not an either/or

but if the Blazers had a chance at a trade that might make them a legitimate contender, and they had to include one of Nas or Ant, which player would you trade?

sorry for the kind of confusing option. The poll isn't which player to keep but which one to trade

I'd keep Nas as well...which is why I voted Simons. Again, make sure you vote for the player you'd trade away

Ant, as we he's not a versatile as Naz, at this point anyway.

Easily Simons, even if we didn't have our roster construction issues.

I like both but chose to keep Nas. One yr more of cheap salary and plays a tougher to fill position in the NBA - SF. Becoming a solid defender, very good rebounder and think his offense can continue to improve. Can see him as a 15-18 PPG/8 rebs, 38% 3pt shooter with good defense.

Little has an extremely high ceiling. Now that he’s finally getting playing time I could see him even really breaking out to Borderline All-Star levels in the next few seasons. I could see him becoming a starter this year even.

The real answer is CJ.

Including Ant may not work in that scenario. Does a team want to trade us a forward/center for two shooting guards? I get one is older and the other is young.
Certainly possible but unlikely. The more likely scenario is both Nas and Ant (and RoCo or Nurk) for stud forard.

But yeah, I like Ant a lot, but shooters are a little easier to find than a 2-way SF like Nas. We have been looking for one since Batum.

Ant has the skillset that every team looks for in the draft.

Now if only he can put it together and stay consistent.

If I Had to CHoose?
Yep the title of the thread does not exactly match the poll question... believe me... read the poll question... read the thread... people in here and people answering the poll would trade Ant not Nas. You probably want to change your answer to the poll question.

we desperately need a wing and nassir little is a wing, on the other hand, we already have dame, cj & powell as guards, so anfernee simons is very much expendable

that being said, both guys have shown some improvement and lets see if they can keep it going

Simons back to falling off. He did this the last 2 years. Starts off hot then goes back to being a no show…

When’s the last time he scored in double figures?

Just over a week ago he had 16 points against Denver. You are so fucking quick to count players out it's ridiculous. Ant is averaging over 11ppg and shooting over 36% from three and 94% from the line. He has also balanced out his three and two point shooting getting almost half of his shots inside the three point line. Ant is showing real progress this season and hasn't dropped off.

Meh that was a 30 point blow out Denver killed us. I don’t remember him having double digits in a significant game in a long time

Frankly, I wish we could have traded Ant for Powell and kept Trent! The mere fact Toronto would have laughed at that idea should serve as a warning.

I think Ant potentially has a higher ceiling, but with a lower floor as well, with what Nas has shown in a small sampling size this season. I think positional need, and our search for a SF leads me to keeping Nas, trading Ant, but, depending on the target, I'd move them both.
