I don't think Quick knows how the Blazers front office would make room to sign him. I think he knows what's happening with Ezeli and then is grabbing at straws for how the Blazers would get it done. Lets wait and see before crucifying Olshey.

Quick is admittedly not a salary cap numbers guy. He would be the first to tell you he is just guessing at how all the contracts would work out. What he is talking about is at least in the right direction though unless there is a trade and he did say "..it could be." when asked if someone would have to be renounced. Portland just doesn't have the cap room for anything near $15-20M unless Meyers or Harkless is renounced.

This. Could be educated guessing though?

Again, who are we bidding against?

GS can't match if they want Durant so he's a UFA. And all the teams with any sort of capspace now don't need a C. And if they do need a C, they don't have capspace.

12-15 mil should do it.

Nice wing span at almost 7'6", but his standing reach is less than Cliff Alexander.

What the flying fuck... This screams "panic move."
The fans panicking about every move is where the only real panic is. You real think that them going after Ezeli after 4 days of nothing is them "panicking"??? They like him. He's young. They need a defensive center that can finish around the rim. He fits the bill. He does have injury issues but that's probably the reason we might be able to get him. Not everything is a panic move.

Ezeli is a way better choice than every Center not names Whiteside/Howard so lets stop with the BS. The only reason we didnt go after him earlier is because he's a RFA, and once Durant signed with Warriors, he was avail

Interesting theory. I hope you are right. But you have to admit these stats don't exactly get you excited:

Edit: OK his stats at the beginning of the season look pretty good. (Before the injury)

I listened to the whole quick interview and I didn't hear him say anything about 20 mil.. Or a number at all unless I completely missed it

Quick mentioned that he's gonna go thru a physical and get a medical eval.

Prolly dinner tonight, physical and offer sheet tomorrow. Wonder if Dame is going.

Given that there are few teams (if any) with cap space left that need a center, Neil should and likely will take that into consideration when offering him a deal. Given his knee history, I can't believe he would get a 4-year deal at $20M per.
