I wonder why there's a hush on Ezeli?

Next year is now projected at 102M vs. 108M.
The league also released projections through the 2020-21 season.
• 2018-19 salary cap and luxury tax: $108 million/$130 million
• 2019-20 salary cap and luxury tax: $109 million/$132 million
• 2020-21 salary cap and luxury tax: $114 million/$139 million
Good call. Are we trying to make something of nothing here?
I believe the kids nowadays say "Ftfy".Luckily, there is only one plaid shirt and half-a-dozen tall, African-American men in Portland, so there's no room for doubt here.
barfo
And he needs to like the money we have to spend. He obviously likes us. We obviously like him. We just need to like his knees now
Nice work, detective.
If we get Ezeli and have to lose one, I'd rather keep Davis over Plums.Davis is one of the best offensive rebounders in the league and he loves Portland. Keep him.
Not sure what you mean. But I'd say it's entirely reasonable that if Turner was signed over dinner, and we are courting Ezeli the same evening, they'd be at the same dinner. Nothing to see here.Good call. Are we trying to make something of nothing here?

I wouldn't say that exactly. I think it's entirely possible his agent is wanting some kind of verbal commitment from Olshey about a number. He can then take that number and use it to drive up Ezeli's price with the handful of other teams that might want him. This sounds more and more like effort on Ezeli's side to persuade Portland to sign him.
With that signing, I think we would Ezeli make the playoffs. Let the puns begin!
Well, Ezeli saw first hand that we need an upgrade at starting center. And he thinks he's the man for the job. If he stays healthy, he just may be. I'd bet the only thing holding this up is the amount of cheddar we have available, and how to get there. I can't help but think the Blazers are working on a trade to clear up some room, to avoid having to simply cut someone to make the space. This sounds more and more like effort on Ezeli's side to persuade Portland to sign him.
Who else needs a starting C with money to spend though?I wouldn't say that exactly. I think it's entirely possible his agent is wanting some kind of verbal commitment from Olshey about a number. He can then take that number and use it to drive up Ezeli's price with the handful of other teams that might want him.
Now they're saying it's right before 1 PM.where is the 12:30 press conference?

Mondress made it clear it was not a physical for Ezeli because that would imply a deal has been made or discussed. Not the case so far.

Festus Ezeli is being looked at today by Blazers doctors, according to Mondress but is also considering other teams.
No fuk wayIf we get Ezeli and have to lose one, I'd rather keep Davis over Plums.
Probably because Neil is working on this Festus thing... He'll be asked questions about Festus and I fully expect an answer along the lines of "This is a press conference for Evan Turner."Now they're saying it's right before 1 PM.
Fuk GramarNo fuk way
