OT Ignore feature pro/con discussion

Therefore there is no way to influence the players, or coaching staff.

Too bad you have me on ignore. You could see me telling you that you are wrong. They read this forum. Don't give opinions much weight by any means, but they do.
Back in the day I introduced this forum to KP and Penn and other players. It has kinda been passed along. Coaching staff and others will mention certain things they have seen on here. Like I said, they just look at it like twitter or any other social media.
Jamal Crawford used to read stuff on here a bunch actually.

Last time I 'helped' you, you posted I had a lot of angst towards you. But here we go again.
I wouldn't have had the opportunity to say you're playing a victim. If you weren't crying about being on ignore every time you posted towards those who've put you on ignore.
If you would've instead left that part out, I would've had no retort. Instead you played the victim and shed a tear about how I have you on ignore.
At the end of the day I have you on ignore because of your own words.
But that doesn't mean I don't push 'show ignored content from time to time'.

Is there really a lot of value in attempting to place blame? Does "He started it!" hold a lot of weight when it comes from the kids you work with?

I know he contributed--I read the forum too. I know he likes to pick at the people who have him on ignore. I know people take issue with his style, and he is generally stubbornly unwilling to adjust, and is more apt to mock people's "sensitivity" than to respect others' requests. I also know that you chose to read his post, and chose to respond, and chose to perpetuate. In an attempt to...what...educate him about victimhood?

Oh, I'm sure it's not comparable to a school situation, because if y'all were students, the hammer would have been brought down onto "the forum bully" long ago, and that it's really the mods' fault that this sequence of posts occurred. How about we all stop pointing fingers at what everyone else is doing, take responsibility for our own actions, and just post in the manner that we wish others would.

The first rule of ignore club is "nobody talks about ignore club"! I take breaks from posters with the ignore function which only ignores people if you're logged on....I always take them back off ignore after a stretch though. I probably put Maris and Cippy on and off ignore dozens of times. For me, it is like biting my tongue. I miss the days when people could insult each other with humor and get a like from the person they insult....aka mags....Make me laugh and I'll like your post...get too serious and I'll probably comment on it and if it leads to a rant...put you on ignore for a stretch. I delete posts sometimes that would escalate an argument...moderate yourselves and find a sense of humor so we can get back to having fun.....Often I'll regret engaging someone I disagree with knowing it will turn into a "who's got the last word" rant. HCP is one of my favorite posters because he's the Don Rickles of S2....and he has a free pass to insult me anytime because it's all in fun...see the Mrs. HCP jokes...he even makes them himself. People could take posting classes from barfo….he's mastered the humor posting system.
