cis people being fucking weird about genitals. starting to wonder if they’re actually the ones with mental issues.
 
Low empathy, an overly rigid ethical framework, an inability to properly discern what behavior is acceptable, a rapid onset of gender revulsion… why do these describe transphobes more than trans people. Is transphobia a cult or a disease?

Empathy comes into play when you're damaging children who are not old enough to give informed consent. And rather than listen with empathy to those who are now speaking out, who were harmed by this as minors, trans activists berate, scold and try to silence them. Sooo empathetic.

Europe has already dropped this kind of care for minors, but you don't hear about that in the US do you? It's full steam ahead. In America, this will one day be viewed the same way we view lobodomies.

I’ve been thinking about this for years, but I think I finally figured out why the sports discussion cis people have around us hurts so much: more than anything, trans women (because the sports discussion hilariously just breaks down discussing trans guys) really just want to participate in femininity. Like, as a trans woman you don’t transition because you hate women.

Though, ultimately, having people who normally don’t give a shit about you as a human being decide for you that you can’t do something because of your body is maybe the most any of us could participate in femininity. But it sure feels bad seeing a lot of self-proclaimed fans of self-determination tell entire minority groups how it’s going to be without involving us in the conversation at all.
 
I mean this sincerely: I hope forced gender assignment surgery ends for intersex people. Gender assignment surgery should be the decision of the person being affected, and should not be decided by anxious parents made uncomfortable by the complexities of nature.



The intersex fight for self-determination is similar to but not the same as the fight for trans self-determination. While a lot of my above text applies to trans people too, it’s important to remember their fight is equally important, maybe more so.

Republicans are spending $65 million on anti trans election ads, despite trans issues not being much of a factor for most voters.
Of course, no one thought about Haitian cat eaters or FEMA confiscating homes until the Republican candidates made it up.
