People use term miracle loosely for a really good or unexpected event. See Miracle on Ice, for example. The true definition is an event that cannot be explained by any worldly or material cause and is therefore assumed to be divine or supernatural. Of course there was a time when things we now understand were considered supernatural or miraculous. Meeting one's future spouse isn't a miracle, neither is birth of your children. Or recovery from illness. Or missing your flight and that's the plane that crashed.

Except when chasing a cat, a bird a squirrel or when sounding the alarm when a stranger is at the front door, dogs should not be heard. I also gave my dog when I was a boy the pass when howling at the moon or at a fire engine, ambulance, police car.

It means some people are incapable of allowing a discussion to happen regardless of personal opinion, without being insulting, rude, crude, passive aggressive, etc.
