This is true. And I never have.

Really?

I've been effectively called a gay and trans hater on posts that you have liked.

It's yet another thing altogether to be labeled a racist and a gay/trans hater.

Though, being called a racist, gay and/or trans hater is way over the top. And, quite frankly, ugly. As a moderator, you of all people should know that.

So, having legitimate questions means being so-called obscure and automatically necessitates being labeled a racist and/or bigot?

As a moderator, though, despite your personal beliefs on the matter(s), simply condoning someone calling me a racist and/or hater is laziness in my opinion. I'm not certain of you've liked any of those posts, but Sly certainly has. Irresponsible.

Look, again, me being called a racist and hater is offensive to me. Can I deal with it? Sure, but it's a personal insult and has no place in this forum.

my recent beef has only been as it relates to me being called a racist/hater, etc.

Look, again, me being called a racist and hater is offensive to me. Can I deal with it? Sure, but it's a personal insult and has no place in this forum.

That said, my recent beef has only been as it relates to me being called a racist/hater, etc. I know you get that, Chris. I really do.

Dude, you're gonna have to take these posts in the overall context. I've called crandc a hater as part of the same posts as being called a racist by others in other posts. If all that got conflated, my apologies. There are plenty of other people who have called me a racist in here in previous threads. Again, to be clear, crandc has not called me a racist to my knowledge.

Dude, you're gonna have to take these posts in the overall context.

Yes, I invite everyone to read the entire context of the posts starting from last Sunday when this drama began.

http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/im...ransgender-issues.367177/page-21#post-5326066

The "context" clearly shows you were calming that Crandc called you a racist and that I liked that post.

If you are now claiming that it was someone else that called you a racist are you still claiming that I liked that post?

Do you have a link to this other post where someone called you a racist and I liked it?

I've called crandc a hater

I'm confused. So you've called her a hater but you don't like her calling you a hater?

For the record, I'm a hater! I hate lots of things, Nazis, pedophiles, rapists, racists, animal abusers. Those are just a few of the groups of people that come to mind.

I'm confused. So you've called her a hater but you don't like her calling you a hater?

That's because I'm not. No confusion.

Call your caucus all you'd like.

Fun fact:

Making false accusations against someone is actually one of the 10 Commandments.

The command against making false accusations is one of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:16). According to Mosaic Law, someone who accused another person falsely was to receive an ironic punishment: “The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst” (Deuteronomy 19:18–19). The Law also specified that the punishment of a false witness was to be carried out without pity (Deuteronomy 19:21); it is a serious thing in God’s eyes to make a false accusation.

Wow. Bravo Sly Poker Dog. You have things under control....for the world to see. I'm such the whiner.

You're going to no end to defend crandc. And, personally, I think she's bigoted towards me and my belief system.
This is where many who share some of your positions get confused though. You don't get personal definitions. Again, that's the great thing about having a common language.

There is ample evidence to support her position, so it is (by definition) not a bigoted position.

A Florida gay high school student wrote an op ed in New York Times. A couple of years ago he was surrounded by a group of homophobic bullies who verbally and physically abused him. He ran into a classroom and cried on the shoulder of his teacher, who comforted him and told him she had gone through similar experiences in her school days.
That conversation will now be illegal.

Not to be pedantic..... but isn't the law only pertaining to Kindergarten through 3rd grade?

We can't call people haters?
Not in here. You can call people out there, especially celebrities such as politicians, movie stars and people in the news, but it wouldn't be fair to tarnish someone in here with that highly negative label.

We can't call people haters?

I've actually been thinking about this after my discussion with @ABM tonight.

Is hater a personal insult?

I'm thinking it's not and here is why...

People can hate lots of things, groups, and individuals.

Saying someone hates a thing, group, or individual isn't necessarily bad or an insult.

In this forum, there are lots of Laker haters.

Currently, there are lots of Putin haters.

As I mentioned before, you can be a hater of Nazis, pedophiles, rapists, etc.

Yes, saying <insert S2 moniker> is a hater of gay people or minorities is insulting.

But saying <insert S2 moniker> is a Laker hater or a tanking hater is not.

What I have tried to do from the beginning is make the Personal Insult Rule very simple to explain and enforce.

Adding Hater to that would require a hell of a lot of qualifiers and/or exceptions.

Sure, the easy way would be to say if you say someone is a hater but if they disagree with that then it's a personal insult...

But again, if you say, <insert S2 moniker> is a draft hater and they reply that they don't hate the draft, they just think we should trade our picks for veteran players, their disagreeing with being called a hater doesn't make calling them a hater a personal insult.

So I sincerely do not think hater is a personal insult.

What does everyone else think?

I have looked personally at a backlog of Crandc's posts, and I could not find an instance of her calling ABM a hater.

Not to be pedantic..... but isn't the law only pertaining to Kindergarten through 3rd grade?
Law bans any discussion K through 3. But also as anything ANY parent deems inappropriate through 12th grade. Just like don't make white people uncomfortable laws, forces teachers to censor themselves because they face criminal penalties if one bigoted parent complains.
It also sets up special courts, under direct control of governor, to hear cases against teachers. Without protections of regular court system.

This is where many who share some of your positions get confused though. You don't get personal definitions. Again, that's the great thing about having a common language.

There is ample evidence to support her position, so it is (by definition) not a bigoted position.

Yet, I have provided ample reasons, context, while sharing personal stories to help define who I am, and what I stand for. Racist, hater, bigot, and the like, are not included in those definitions. Period.

Good ...when all is said and done the kid will be a trans with muscles and a tool belt....females also work in the construction field...in the meantime we should clearly explain the difference between the OT section and Facebook...not sure some can separate the two very well. I seriously doubt Alex dad is "pushing" trans culture on a teenager...teens rebel against mom and dad pretty often....it could be that rather than looking up to ABM's manly man...there's quite another attraction at play here. I've heard only Mike Pence can do conversions like you're wishing for...pray the gay away or whatever he does.I just hope for the kid's sake that joy can be found in life beyond the judgements of the relatives

Interestingly, I had a chat with Alex's "step-father" yesterday. We're gonna be visiting there this upcoming summer so we talked about all of that. We chatted about his company which we're invested in. Great stuff there. Anyway, I asked how Alex was doing. He said he's doing pretty OK, but still doing stupid teenage kid things. Stuff all parents deal with. I guess he's gonna be going to an outdoor camp of sorts. Not certain of all those aspects, but could be cool. I then also asked if he was still wanting to be a girl. Apparently, that's changed. He's had a lot of "fireside chats" of sorts with Peric (the dad) and has related a number of times that he loves women's breasts, and can't help masturbating to them numerous times a day. Peric is, like, "You go, dude!" OK, I just had to take the phone away from my ear, look at it, and go "huh?" It was a funny story. You had to be there. So, I guess that all to say, Alex is still confused about, and wading through, a lot of things. Bottom line, though, we'll all still support him no matter what paths he chooses to go down. We all love him very much, and he knows that. To me, that's key in all of this. Can't wait to see him.

Gotcha. I didn’t see that part when I tried to look it up. Thanks.

I am definitely a hater of some things. I am a laker hater. I am a husky hater. I am a…… raisins in stuffing hater.

But nobody called you any of those things.

Again, this comes off as you trying to make yourself out to be a victim simply because people disagree with you and call out the things you support for what they are.

You aren't a victim or oppressed in here. People have honest discussions and call out some of the people and policies you want to support and you take it personally.

But there is nothing wrong with people calling those things out for what they are. If you don't like people calling things you support out you should probably examine why you support those things, or think twice about being public about supporting them.

I hate mayonnaise with a passion. Some things I can eat to be polite. That I gag on.

Me too. Can't stand it. Used to like Miracle Whip, but lost my taste for that too.

The only time I eat it is in deviled eggs.

Well, regardless if anyone else in here cares about our family situation, or not, it's "real" life for us. Hence, my thread title.

You would be entirely wrong on that assessment.
I've never witnessed it, and I can find no evidence to support it.

However, I will say that since there appears to be no evidence of it, if it happened it was obviously removed (also, an action I would support), which would mean this forum doesn't support anybody calling you those things.

In which case, I don't understand what your problem is, or how you can be a victim, since the forum has (allegedly) deleted any evidence of such behavior.
