Except yours excludes people from using rooms where my suggestion makes rooms open to all.

That's a significant difference.

No worries, my friend. It was not my intention to segregate, as opposed to creating space for everyone to do their business in private. Bodily function stuff can be a private and personal matter to many. Your idea seemed to capture the essence.

I have a problem with the title of this thread.....who calls their coworkers "trans-things"?

LOL. I think you missed what I was relating. Not surprising, though. Some of the things I say in here are lost on many. But, I digress...

In other words, I was simply saying that I'm still learning to understand and accept the whole trans situation.

I want to know where the outrage is about what people leave behind after they use the toilet damnit! What part of "public" toilet says you fill and let the next person flush it? Now this is a public service announcement! Seeing a pile of poop is more traumatizing to children than seeing a person pee!

I used the "green" font specifically for that post and still....whoosh!" Maybe you're actually color blind..?

Not color blind, but you might want to use a lighter shade of green next time.

That's color discrimination! Font profiling! So my green is too "dark" for ya....sure.....!

This thread brought back a horrific memory tattooed on my mind and i cant shake it! Let me share

When I was in my early 50's I was working a National trade show (ConExpo) in Orlando and need to find a restroom real quick, some of the convention halls are huge and at times can be tough to find the men's room, the sushi I had the night before wasn't settling right. Well I ended up on the toilet in the ladies room and believe it or not wasn't aware I was until I heard women's voices. The sweat immediately started rolling off my forehead and I lifted my feet up hoping I wouldnt be spotted. Thanks goodness I had already done what i needed to do or Im not sure I would have survived it. I sit there for maybe 3/4 minutes didnt hear any voices so I made a run for it, again sweat all down my forehead. I immediately went across the way to what was the mens room, although I had to make sure and washed up. To this day Ive never been that embarrassed, and in a greater pickle than that! Im sweating again just thinking about it. Oh I could hardly walk right as my legs and feet were numb from holding them up in the stall.

If it makes you feel any better...

I was at a Blazers game with a friend at the Rose Garden. We had been drinking alot. We both had to go piss. So we walk out into the concourse and were talking about the Blazers. We aren't paying attention. There are no lines because the game is going. We are focused on each other talking and we just walk into the bathroom and into some stalls right inside. We start taking a leak. My friend was in the stall to my left. He started saying something to me...I think about getting another drink or something to eat. All of a sudden a woman peeks her head over the top of my stall to the right, and says, "You're in the wrong fucking bathroom!" She said it pretty loud too. We had walked into the wrong restroom not paying attention. I apologized, zipped the fuck up and got out of there. It was a little embarrassing, but I laugh at it when I look back at it.

I guess that's a bit different than taking a crap in a girl's bathroom though. You can't just get up and leave. Trying to hold the noises in and stuff. Sorry man.

Yeah, people are nasty. They leave some terrible dirty toilets behind crap and wet toilet paper everywhere.

Glad to hear you are learning to understand and accept it.

I can see where both you and riverman are coming from.

1.) Was this a transgender person?
2.) If so, the spa allows transgender people to be in the women's or men's areas. They have to, it's the law. (A transgender dude could have been walking around the mens area with a vagina....would that have made you feel the same?
3.) Spas like the one where this happened have everyone walking around nude like a nude beach. Parents bringing their kids (I would never do that) should know there is going to be nudity.
4.) Though as ABM argues they are expecting only same sex nudity. Maybe they should have a sign. Maybe they do? Whether you are prude or not, a business should be clear in how they work.
4.5) The woman complaining clearly does not accept transgender people exist and is closed minded. I don't agree with her in that stance at all. There are many people like her who will probably never accept it sadly.
5.) Clearly we still have a long way to go to accepting and understanding transgender people as a country. There is a great division on how we integrate Transgender people in our society. We need to figure this out. We need to be open minded but also pragmatic.
6.) If it wasn't a transgender person then cops should have been called. Charges should have been filed.

Nice. Now just awaiting your announcement that you will be soon running for ______________ political office.

Anyway, you're doing a yeoman's job of smoothing waters. Something a good mod should always be cognizant of. Keep up the great work, Skipper!

@crandc posted a link showing that this was all BS.

Yeah, I completely agree. I just just wanted to point out that the idea of excluding people from a given room is where I believe the problem lies.

It is a change, and I understand people can be resistant to change. But I fail to see the down side other than some increased cost. Which seems minimal.

I'd fully support a tax incentive or rebate structure which covers the cost of updates for every business in the country.

I have been running from ______________ political office.
About 20 years ago I knew a lady in Beaverton who was politically active. She tried and tried to get me to run for some position in the Wolf Creek Water District because I was firmly against ever getting our drinking water from the Willamette river. My disabilities were starting to get the better of me and I was spending too much time at the VA hospital so I had to repeatedly decline. Finally, she gave up.

If these incidences are true, I still go back to the need for signage of some sort at the front door.

EXCLUSIVE: LA mom recalls her shock after person with a 'beard and penis' got into women-only hot tub with her six-year-old daughter at Wi Spa - where clashes between trans activists and rival protesters broke out last week

Anita, a millennial daughter of Latin immigrants, says she is a Democrat voter and a supporter of the queer community, but felt compelled to speak out about the thorny issue in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com.

'I read about the spa in a magazine, the LA Parent, and I'd driven past it before late at night and it almost looks like a nightclub, with cars lined up waiting to get in,' she said.

'It's in Korea Town and is super-Korean. There's entire families – moms, dads, two kids, and they're just hanging out at all hours. It just seemed like a really cool thing to try with my daughter.'

Anita described her January 2020 visit to the spa, which has a clothed section for both sexes, and separate sections for men and women with locker rooms, hot tubs, massage, relaxation and pampering rooms where patrons are traditionally unclothed.

'When I walked into the women's section everyone was naked,' she said.

'I wasn't raised to be super comfortable being naked around others. But I'm from LA and it's kind of hip to participate in authentic cultural things.

'I didn't want my daughter to feel uncomfortable and I saw a lot of little Korean girls naked with their grandmas and their moms, it was really cute actually. I was like, wow this is something that I didn't know existed, this is awesome.'

Anita and her daughter put on face masks, ate snacks and hung out in the sauna. Then the little girl asked to swim in the hot tub.

'We were in there with five or six other women. She was swimming and splashing at me and stuff,' she said.

'Then these three people came and sat down on the edge of the hot tub. It was two women and what appeared 100% to be a man.

'All three people were white. The two girls had tattoos and colored hair. I don't like the whole race-baiting thing, but I would categorize them as the privileged, white, progressive-type people.

'They came in with this air of entitlement. It was almost an aggressive attitude.

'I'm trying really hard not to get in trouble calling the person with a penis a male, but the 'guy' was this skinny white guy with scraggly long hair and a beard. He had a five o'clock shadow on him, and his penis and scrotum hanging out.

'The person I saw seemed like an activist… Almost enjoying everyone around them being uncomfortable.

'The other Korean women in the hot tub were looking at each other like 'what the f**k?' We all suddenly were quietly communicating with our eyes.

'[The Korean women] were motioning at my daughter, she was giggling and splashing, she hadn't noticed.

'All around the locker room you see all the women suddenly whispering and this tense feeling............(CONT.)

And if they aren't true, what will you need to go back to?

ABM keeps repeating same story. This is the same spa that was picketed after fake story.

This isn't new. Those who read or saw The Help, remember Miss Hilly and her sanitary initiative? The book was fiction but that was real, Black people have different germs and they are dirty and disease ridden so if public facilities were desegregated white people would be endangered. In the 70s it was Equal Rights Amendment. If ERA was passed we would have unisex restrooms. Not true and buses and planes already did but if ERA ratified women and girls would be assaulted in unisex restrooms. In the 90s it was gays in the military. Apparently gay folks wanted to join the military for the sole purpose of staring at straights in showers. Military could take on armies but we're terrified by gays. Now it's trans people supposedly exposing themselves in women's restrooms.

Radical Transgender Activism Is Proof Positive that We Have Lost Our Corporate Minds

Just think of the upside down world in which we live today. Women and girls are relaxing in a California spa when a man walks in, naked and fully exposed, in full view of these mothers and daughters. Yet when a complaint is issued, the spa, along with the editorial board of the Los Angeles Times editorial board, defend the man. Do we need any more proof that we have lost our corporate minds?

A man commits full frontal indecent exposure in the presence of women and girls, and the LA Times chides the women for being upset while defending the man, since, after all, he’s actually a woman. And, you know, women can have penises too. That’s right. And men can menstruate as well as conceive and give birth to babies. That’s also why we must talk about “chestfeeding” rather “breastfeeding,” since the latter term would offend nursing fathers.

Have we not lost our minds?

Listen to this woman’s personal account of what happened:

“I went to the Wi spa in Los Angeles, California, and while I decided to go around the different jacuzzis, I decided to take a nap. After my nap, I got up and I wanted to get water. As I was walking, I noticed something that really was disturbing, something that caused me to feel that I must have been transported into the men’s locker room, the men’s Jacuzzi area.

“Yeah. A man, a full-on man, fully naked, completely exposed, showing his testicles, his penis. Slightly erected.

“I was appalled at what I saw. This was not normal. . . . Little girls are there, their mothers are there, other women are looking about, and they begin to put their robes back on them. I went to management. Management did nothing. I even told the guy he should leave, ‘This is not right,’ and he didn’t leave. We had no help whatsoever. I did not know what to do.

“Something has got to be done. This is not fair. It is not right. We as women have rights to be safe in public spaces, and they are being violated by men going into women’s spaces, claiming to be women to gain access, so that they can exercise their perversions.

“This is not right. We must do something about it.

“On June 23, I experienced what no woman or little girl should ever experience. I experienced what used to be called flashing or indecent exposure, which would result in a man registering to be a sexual offender for life.”

Yes, this used to be considered perverse and even illegal. But not today. Today, this is a “right” to be celebrated. And it is the women and girls who have a problem. They are the ones who are messed up in their thinking. The onus is on them to change.....

If you can't distinguish/differentiate the element of modesty and/or morality here, then I hate it for you.

All these supposedly different stories are word for word identical, always involve a beard, although every trans woman I have ever known removes facial hair. Always involve exposed penis in a situation where people aren't normally exposed, a little girl, and never happen to ordinary women, only ones with close ties to right wing media and antigay organizations.
