Pete Buttigieg, white, male, Christian, gender conforming, veteran, Ivy League educated, successful career, stable marriage, two children, has become the new Republican bogeyman. Because gay people aren't supposed to be all that. We aren't supposed to be at all.
So Marjorie Q Greene talks about him using girls' restroom, which he doesn't. Senator Tom Cotton is moaning that "liberals" want you to walk, oh the horror, take the subway, or ride a scooter or whatever it is that Pete Buttigieg uses. Translation, drive a gas guzzler to prove you aren't gay.
Straight males so terrified of women and gays. Outlaw abortion, ban trans people, don't even say gay. These macho men are terrified.
Which is just illogical... Women are freaking awesome, and gay men mean there is less competition for them... So...

Im straight male and drive a gas guzzler and Ive never been terrified of women and gays. I have gay friends and three daughters. Plus Im a boomer but that doesnt paint a certain way, and that net would never catch me. Even at almost 72.

Insecure and scared straight males are. The overwhelming majority of us aren't.
But the antigay political crowd is seeking to appeal to the insecurity of straight men. The ones who freak if women have any power and are insecure about their own masculinity. So they gay bash.

My point was thats not your average straight males who are causing/doing this, it's the scared little boys who are insecure and unsure of themselves.

The vast majority of us are fine with whatever. Gay, straight, bi, queer, trans (etc). It's the ones who are afraid. A minority of straight males.

Just because you're a secure, gay person doesn't necessarily make you right.

Was there an actual point to this or was it another one of your folksy country boy charm you think you have?

All folksiness aside, It would be pointless to explain. Purely rhetorical in nature. I do have that Mike Rowe charm, though. Thanks.

BTW, FWIW, Borrowed Future is a rather compelling documentary.

PS: I'm more for community college. Live with your folks and get an Associates degree. By then, you may have matured some, and figured out what you, etc. Then, go for that 4-year degree if you want.

If your response to someone asking you to clarify something you said is "it would be pointless to explain" that actually means it was pointless to say.

\That's what rhetorical means, you silly goose.

It's usually a good idea to be secure in who we are. Too bad people like DeSantis are trying to take it away.

You keep thinking that.

When someone says children would be irreparably harmed by knowing I exist ... And someone else endorses that.

It's the 80/20 rule, brother, which applies to virtually ever aspect of life.

I said that I've been called a hater and/or racist in here. As it it relates to her, I've been called a hater. That said, I'm calling her prejudiced towards me based upon the, "Thank god I'm an atheist" remark. She knows who that was aimed for.

Again, to my knowledge, @SlyPokerDog, I never called @crandc a racist. This was posted by me nearly a month ago.

No one has ever accused you of calling @crandc a racist.

You accused her of calling you that.

But nice try! I'll give you that!

I've been effectively called a gay and trans hater on posts that you have liked.

It's yet another thing altogether to be labeled a racist and a gay/trans hater.

Though, being called a racist, gay and/or trans hater is way over the top. And, quite frankly, ugly. As a moderator, you of all people should know that.

So, having legitimate questions means being so-called obscure and automatically necessitates being labeled a racist and/or bigot?

As a moderator, though, despite your personal beliefs on the matter(s), simply condoning someone calling me a racist and/or hater is laziness in my opinion. I'm not certain of you've liked any of those posts, but Sly certainly has. Irresponsible.

Look, again, me being called a racist and hater is offensive to me. Can I deal with it? Sure, but it's a personal insult and has no place in this forum.

my recent beef has only been as it relates to me being called a racist/hater, etc.

You've pulled out all these quotes before.

Again, at that time, and today, I was referring to crandc's hater rhetoric. The racist portion was added in that rant because I've been called that, as well, and it's all the same inappropriate language that has no business here. I simple bundled my frustrations with crandc, as well as the racist bullcrap (*cough*HCP*cough) in one fell swoop. I'm telling you now that I never intended to maintain that crandc called me a racist. I even clarified that a month ago. while apologizing today for any confusion today. So, you want to continue to play some type of gotcha game with me? Have at.

You read through those posts and they were in reply to @crandc's comment.

Now you're accusing someone else of saying something they didn't.

I'm pretty sure one of the 10 Commandments addresses that.

Again, I bundles the remarks, then clarified myself a month ago. Don't be putzy about it.

BTW, read my first quote you've posted. The one I mentioned you liking another post. It mentions nothing of me being called a racist. That was in response to one of crandc's recent posts during that timeframe. All the racist crap came into play following that. I was pissed and lumped the gamut.
