Agree with you 98.2%. I'll wait and see where the whole sports thing plays out. Some of this may end up in the hands of SCOTUS. It's a big enough issue across the playing field.....so to speak. BTW, in another thread, I asked HCP how he'd feel if his kid daughter were nudged out of a scholarship by a trans. He never did answer. Oh, well.
 
Every living organism must eliminate waste. We humans use restrooms to eliminate waste in a hygienic and dignified manner. There is no special reason why transgender people need to eliminate waste. It's a simple biological necessity. I have never felt the need to observe how others take care of this need in privacy if a home or a restroom stall.

Good idea! I mean, there are already many places that do have unisex bathrooms. I'm sure you and your wife have used one a time or two.

Or maybe you could realize that a transgender teen is much more likely to be the victim of a sexual assault because they're a transgender, than they themselves will commit a sexual assault. The overwhelming vast majority of rape/sexual assault is done by someone the victim knows. And the overwhelming majority of sexual assault that happens to children in bathrooms, is by a peer and not by an adult (and the % of sexual assault that occurs, a very very small % of it happens in bathrooms). Women are not getting assaulted in bathrooms by a transgender person. Men in restr0oms are not being assaulted by transgender men either. Men who do sexually assault women/children, do not randomly dress up as women so they could enter a womens restroom to sexually assault women or children. Same with women who sexual assault children, they don't dress up as men to sexually assault children.

So in other words, quit making transgender people into the scary boogeyman and just admit you're scared because you don't want to understand things.

Agreed. There should be no law regarding this issue, except that nobody be excluded or have less access than anybody else.

Especially with how to decide what is considered the line? I.e., MTG is not the most (stereotypical) feminine looking woman in the world, should she have to show her gender every time she uses the bathroom?

Where do we draw the line?

Could you imagine if Elon Musk bought S2, then brought a hundred Trump-lovin' conservatives with him? What a dynamic shift that might be!

PS: No, I won't be voting for Trump. He's been the biggest reason I've had such fun in here with y'all the past 6 years, though. :)

But it was a serious question. You used to be a huge Blazer fan, now you just hang in the OT section. If you're looking for other forums or places that are more supportive of your political and social takes I would be happy to point out some to you.

Every time I visit OT and see this title, I have the same question: unless someone in your family is going through this, what is there for you to "deal" with? Are you "dealing" with the reality that you have to share your world with people who are different to you? The fact your neighbor is gay or trans has ZERO impact on you, so just MYOB. Simple!
