I have suggested this book here before but I think it's something you should read, @ABM. It covers a lot of the different reasons why a nation would fail, and exclusionary policy is a BIG one. It's the way we are moving in our country if the right keeps on passing laws removing peoples rights, and it's pretty sad to see.

Hmmmmm.......I'm not seeing any kids in here stuffing money into the panties of other posters. Should I be concerened, though?
What you're not seeing is not surprising....that requires actually looking. What you are doing is making people see things you don't think they should see...that's the definition of hypocrisy. No you shouldn't be concerned about any of this...but given your track record on these issues once again...you highlight your own insecurities....to be warned, there are transgendered parades in Southeast asia that are public....you might want to avoid that region of the world where transgendered people are considered normal people. My son was probably 4 when we first took him to Thailand and he was first exposed to nude people in public places...then years later he worked the country fair for many years where there is also lots of public nudity...he's a well adjusted person..any well adjusted person is not going to be abused or traumatized over seeing breasts. The public hot springs is the same...people don't worry about it because it's not sexual in nature. Guilt ridden people MAKE it sexual by nature because that's their reaction.

I'm still waiting to hear how story hour is an adults only event. I suspect I won't get a well thought out reply...

I appreciate that. I'll look into it.

The deal here, though, is not about passing laws on removing people's (adults') rights, so much as it's about protecting children.

Story hour is for children. Children love bright colors, costumes, glitter, they have a lot of fun, except when white supremacists attack.

The actual photo posted was a cis woman, so even if you think a child was somehow harmed, what does it have to do with trans people? Wasn't bringing up (I want to say dragging in) trans people just another attempt to demonize my community? Convince white suburban women to vote for Republicans, who are taking away their rights, in order to protect children?

Or it'll be about a totally unrelated subject and he'll think he's made a good point and put you in your place

Wow. Accuse much?

There were no children in danger here.

We don't need government to protect our children when they are with their parents.

The you'd agree children aren't in danger at strip clubs et al. Open 'em up!

I used to work at a preschool. I taught 3-5 year olds. Every day there was always at least one boy that would come to school in a dress. There was nothing sexual about it. There was no deeper meaning for it. Every single one would just say it looked pretty. I haven't followed up, but I don't believe their desire to look pretty, and their parents acceptance of that fact changed the sexuality of any of the children. They just thought it was pretty. 3-5 year olds(and really any age) don't need to be told what it means to be a man, or be a woman. They should be allowed to just be pretty if they want to be pretty. Or fierce if they want to be fierce.

I think the rules we have right now, preventing kids from entering bars in general are fine, for the purpose of helping those establishments to prevent minors from being exposed to excessive alcohol abuse.

I don't think nudity is a consideration.

Not necessary...you've already done that yourself. You cut and paste things you don't think should be seen in public....that's an observation, not an accusation. The proof is right here in your own post. I'm holding you accountable for your own hypocrisy concerning accessibility to something you claim shouldn't be accessible, yet you put it on the internet for all the guests and members to see. It's not rocket science. Own your own bs. You don't get to selectively censor material only when it suits your political agenda..I'm not bothered by any of it but you seem determined to highlight it and complain. Comes with the territory. Expect to get called out for the double standard if you're going to flaunt the double standard

Next up Tootsie and Mrs Doubtfire and the Birdcage will be banned. How could children watch Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams or Nathan Lane in drag without feeling their sexuality has been threatened? Then you'll need to ban Bugs Bunny as well..he did several cartoons in drag.

That's your deal here, man. Your solution is to push exclusionary policies by leaders that have and want to continue passing laws that restrict rights. There is heavy hypocrisy in your stance, but you don't care.

Everyone knows kids are being forced to perform aboritions in the back of strip clubs. It's why ABM and DeSantis have stopped wearing underwear in order to save them.

THE BAREBACK RIDERS TO THE RESCUE!

Look, kids have no place in a strip club. I agree with that. This wasn't a strip club as far as I know. No one was stripping. There was no nudity. I just went back and looked at the picture...I hadn't seen it. I can see what's off putting there. A kid putting money in a ladies bikini, an action generally reserved for a strip club.

I have heard the cross dressing community holds family oriented events. I see nothing wrong with that. I don't know if the person in the video was a cross dresser or a woman and it doesn't matter. There was no nudity and this was a family event. Is what we see in the picture questionable? Maybe. The parents were there. No nudity. Should it be looked into. Maybe. Should Ron DeSantis use it so he can run out and make yet another law, no. There are enough laws in place already.

We have to make grand sweeping laws that are about .01% of the population. You know why?? Because .01 +.01 is almost 100%

"No honey, it's true! The democrats are forcing kids to go to strip clubs. That's why I'm taking it upon myself to visit every strip club within a 100-mile radius. I have to save these children!"
