no Travis Outlaw tonight! Too bad. I was looking forward to him taking it to us.

Re: I'm hearing.......

He must have already "gone fishin" as they say on TNT. :ghoti:

Do us all a favor and title the thread "Outlaw out tonight vs. Trail Blazers" so we can avoid 6 other threads on this same topic in the next few hours. You dirty slut! :devilwink:

Update:
Yes, there are a few things to look forward to, even at this late stage of a Clippers season marked by futility. One is the chance to welcome back former Clipper Marcus Camby, who was traded to Portland on Feb. 16 for Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw. Outlaw, by the way, is not expected to play tonight against his former team; he remains sidelined because of a strained right groin suffered Saturday at Denver. Portland is 16-6 since acquiring Camby, who will be a free agent this summer. There's no shortage of rumors about where he will end up — just the way it was almost from the day he arrived in Los Angeles.

He's not taking it to anyone with his 11.6 PER as a Clipper.

Now that he doesn't get to jack up crazy shots whenever he feels like it, it seems like he's finding the sledding a bit rougher.

Could be that he's coming off a serious injury and is trying to fit in on a bad team as well. No need to bury the guy, is there?

It will be interesting to see what kind of contract Outlaw can get this summer. I suspect his value is dropping if he can't make an impact on a Clipper team. I don't think he will get even get the MLE.

I'm not burying him. He's just been lousy as a Clipper and I find it unlikely that he would have "taken it to" the Blazers tonight.

clearly bank like out of this world!:devilwink:

I'm wondering what we might be able to sign him for in the off-season. He is having a horrible season and was making around $4 million. I'd love to pick him up for ~2 million a year next year on another short term deal.

Resigning Camby has to be priority #1. After that we need to quickly look for any top tier MLE players. Once those are taken care of I'd be interested in re-acquiring Outlaw for a spark off the bench. He would be quite useful with our bench scoring troubles we have at the moment.

This has been a nightmare season for Travis. Just brutal to have a season like this in a contract year. I'd sign him if we can move Webster and/or Dante, Pendegraph. As our roster is today, we don't need another forward though.

I'd rather have Dante over Outlaw. I'd rather have Outlaw over Webster.
