trying out is okay but school is more important than basketball you need to learn that
 
haha...I never get in trouble for anything. I took a bottle of liquor from my house without my mom knowing obviously, and she found out, and she was like "whatever, I dont care"; it wasnt that good anyways". And I told her that there was still alot left, and she was like, nah you can just have it. hahah

I got asian parents as well. I def understand where youre coming from. I say the same thing about my parents when they become all non-american asian crazy on me and my grades but you know what? You'll be alright man, just keep trying and youll be fine. Ive had to go through it the last 7 years of my life (jr high - HS) and one more year and im in college. WOOT.I got on tangents alot.. but hey what the hell.. its the off topic section.
 
Yeah, I agree with everybody here. Through past experience since I have Asian parents and also because this is how I feel about it looking back on it, school is more important than anything. Doing good in school will get you far in life, I.e. get into a good college, get a good-paying job, etc. I would suggest you doing good in school first before you try and do anything else. Because if you don't do good in school, you'll get your priviledges taken away and plus, your parents are going to be bugging you every single year about your grades and stuff like that. I know a lot about this, trust me. I just started college and I'm doing great now but I did terrible in math in 8th and 9th grade and my dad still gets on my case about how I have to do better and stuff. So I would advise you to start getting better now instead of it being too late to fix it. And it's also better for you to do this for YOU (realize that it's going to help you in the end) and not your parents because it's your life in the end, not theirs. Trying out for teams and going on forums/internet aren't supposed to be your #1 priority, school is. So hopefully, you take everybody's advice here and put it to some good use and hopefully, we'll see you back on here in a couple of months.

More that they aren't checking up and don't make a big deal if I get caught. I don't drink that often so I guess that is why they don't care. They might make me pay though if I take it regularly.

Well, at least you're here for the week. But dude, parents can be annoying, but dont blame them for what YOU do at school.
 
guys my average is an 89 last year lol. its not like im not studying
 
dude for a guy in middle school, that isnt that great. Mine is a 95 in high school and I take AP classes...
