I'm So SICK & TIRED of Neil Olshey

Yeah, it was you whining about how I posted in reaction to you being condescending and dismissive. So I had to call out the double standard and hypocrisy...
Someone needs to go back and read how this thread progressed. My response was a single line...
Your response does indeed indicate that.
Then you wanted to push for more so i gave it to you. I even gave my views on the coaches involved.
This is what you are calling me hypocritical for.
You see where this is going. We all know you will not let this go. This happens in your game thread posts and now in your post season posts. I will not be your whipping post for the Blazer off season. Find someone else.
As a matter of fact i rarely come around after the season is over so you won't have to worry about that.
I have way too much else to do for this summer.
I hope you do well in the 3 on 3 if you represent the forum again. I'll check in and see how it goes.
I will also check in around summer league. Was kind of wanting to go down there this year.
Of course we all check in for draft.
Then you will see me again around training camp time.
Here is hoping that if they indeed get a new coach he is a good one. Messina would be my choice. But if Stotts is in fact still around he works on a bunch of the issues you have pointed out. I do agree with almost all of the problems you pointed out. Just not sure he has the players to make the changes needed.
Take care Bones. Don't quit being a great Blazer fan. We all know you bleed Red and Black.

You are simply a fan, nothing more and nothing less, but yet you have been plastering this forum with your anger because Stotts didn't do what YOU wanted him to do. You also have no idea what they discuss or what their plans are and won;t until something actually happens. That's your place in the pecking order and you can accept it or move on.

Thanks for doing that, Bones. You represent a lot of people here about team changes. Don't let status quoers wear you down like they did me. And bring back HCP!

"I've stated many different issues I have with Stotts, a lot of issues that got worse. Thing is, he should've realized these issues mid-season and made changes, however he didn't, so how can anyone trust him to fix these next season? Most of them were issues before this season that weren't changed last off-season. Instead, it got worse."

The Blazers don;t owe you an explanation or your approval. What you might think are issues may not be the issues they want to address or think they need to address, in other words, your expertise in this manner is extremely limited.
Lmao. That's my opinion on the situation. That's it. I never said the owe an explanation nor did I imply that. Youre running with this a weird way.

So your argument is I don't know enough?

Plastering this forum with my anger? You guys gotta quit making up emotions that you claim I'm experiencing.

So you're point is, I don't know enough, and you think I'm angry when I'm not.

This is the problem with y'all. You guys can't discuss the actual problems with the team. You could state why you think this isn't a problem or that isn't a problem, but instead of talking basketball, which is all I'm trying to do, you make the discussion into a personal one. But then the Status Quoers claim I'm the emotional one for trying to discuss basketball? For stating my opinions on our style of play? And then when someone makes it a personal issue and I take exception to that, IM the one arguing with them?! This shit is comical.

If me ATTEMPTING to discuss basketball means I think I'm am expert, than I guess I'm am expert

Messina would be my choice as well. This sis the problem I have with people. I can be brash sometimes, but if they kept the conversation to solely basketball, I would have issues with no one (outside of game threads, I get a little toxic and vent in there, and I know some people don't like that.)

But this is an example of why I'm treated unfairly around here. This is what I had a problem with:
- Didn't claim I thought I was the only one who knew what was going on when I've simply been stating my opinion.
- Then after I disagreed with that post in basketball terms only, you falsely-claimed "I don't like to see improvements" as if I have a grudge against Stotts. You also acted like were all saying the same stuff as if my po ints weren't thought out and were nonsense. You also made it obvious you only read half of what you were quoting.

I took exception to that, and I guess that's where the snowstorm got started. That crap annoyed me. If you can't see why then fine. It makes me look like the bad guy for taking exception. Oh well. Have a nice summer.

Because they're the same changes many others want. You act like he's the only one, trying to isolate him to win the argument. Divide and conquer.
arguments are overrated! haven't seen one win anything around here yet!

I haven't heard one word from Stotts or Olshey that they either think major changes are needed in the offense or that they plan on making major changes. So I am not expecting much under present management.

Agreed. But despite the playoffs revealing to a lot of people the glaring weaknesses in our players and, more so, in our tactics/schemes; it seems Stotts and, to a degree, Olshey, are oblivious to this or refuse to acknowledge/address it.
They seem to be fine continuing with the status quo which produces inefficient, terrible to watch, non-assisting, inept defense basketball.
If they really are content to continue on without major changes, then they are chugging their own Kool-aid (after taking the tide-pod challenge), are out-of-touch and should be fired.

Be careful, people might think you're being over-emotional.

Not until he starts calling other people’s opinions “stupid” or starts calling people names. His was a quality post.

What did you do to HCP? He used to be the gem of the board!

I took my comedic act too far.
He uses friction for comedy here and i thought i was doing the same. Didnt go over well. Ive moved on.
With that said, i think he can improve his act, just like me.
Other than that, i cant take responsibility for doing anything to anyone on here. Im a married man!

Is it not possible to be bored and say "This shtick is tired and stupid"?

I’m not sure what you are talking about. I have noticed on many many occasions when somebody questions your post or opinion or states something you don’t agree with you call them stupid and other things just because you don’t agree. I’ve seen you get warmed about it. Go back to my post on here when you claimed I didn’t “tag” you in. I explained it there. Remember the one where the first thing you typed was “asshole” towards me.
Just trying to figure out why you put people on blast for having different ideas than you is all.

Hey Neil: How come eight straight playoff game losses was not mentioned?

Because the soft Portland media won't bring up 10 straight losses. They won't question why a #3 seed got swept for the first time in 40 years.

Embarrassing 'journalism'.

I think it will be a calm Summer like the last one and technically the one before that too (we only extended players and got Turner back then). I think Olshey and Stotts are happy with the current team.

I am not sure about that. If they were happy with the current team then they would not have tried to move players last summer for PG and Melo. What they say in public and what they discuss privately are two different things. As it should be IMO.

These guys are reading some Olshey quotes at about 67 minutes - they are pretty incredulous:

https://nbamath.com/hardwood-knocks...m-okc-uta-cavs-nop-boogie-underrated-players/

"We were a lot more conservative in approach than all the pundits who picked us to win." Neil Olshey

Seriously? Given that exorbitant payroll? So you really either overpaid (very likely) or they weren't really that good in the first place and not major changes need to be made even more so.

I don't understand the context of that quote; especially the part about pundits picking us to win?

They were trying to move Crabbe or Harkless plus a bunch of mod and late picks for George. Basically they were looking for a huge bargain to address one of the teams needs.

As long as the core goes I don’t think there is any trade they would make that would involve Dame or CJ.

Question for you and everyone else regarding Paul George, using hindsight if you were the Pacers would you rather have?

A) Oladipo, Sabonis, and Leaf

B) Zach Collins and Donovan Mitchell

Factoring in Oladipo's pretty big contract, I would choose B. I actually think the Pacers surprise season is going to be hard on them long term. They probably would've been worse this year with B but they'd have a decent lottery pick to add to that core. It's very similar to our 2015-16 season in which we kinda screwed ourselves by being that good.

That could be true but that is a big difference then saying "I think Olshey and Stotts are happy with the current team".

It will be the same as ever, with one exception...Resistance is growing. Status quo snowflakes can't isolate us one at a time in threads anymore and call us traitor. It has finally become obvious that we outnumber them.

Well, they are happy with the core of this team and they have no option to make significant moves without breaking up that core.

Well I rate Mitchell as a bigger talent than Oladipo and have Collins as a bigger talent than Sabonis so it’s a no brainer as TJ Leaf is unknown quality for now.

I don’t think Pacers could have had both Collins and Mitchell and as you said it’s a hindsight. Nobody expected Mitchell to be who he is aside from Utah (he has probably exceeded their expectations too).

I don't think it would've been difficult at all. We already know 15 and 20 got 10. 17 and 20 might have been enough too. Then 15 and 26 or 17 and 26 is better than what Denver got from Utah. They could've also skipped Denver and traded with Charlotte or Detroit. That draft was super deep.

> Does 10 sting worse than eight? I think so. ( That is a benchmark number such as the one PA will use used to oust Terry if he wants to..)
