Thought I'd lighten the mood up around here by bragging about my daughter...... back to training again with Team USA Soccer team...... Very proud of this one. I'm sure Neal would never draft her though.......

Very cool! I don't think you included enough hashtags though.

Very nice. What age group is she? Is this ODP? Two of my kids both played soccer for many years and played for FC Portland. My daughter also played a year of ODP soccer as well as being coached by Garrett Smith her u-14 year and my son played with a boy that was invited to the U-17 National team camp. Great sport for kids as each of mine went on to play some college soccer as well. Wish I had all the money I spent on traveling and fees now, as it can get expensive.

This is separate from ODP-(Olympic Development Program) She is on the Region 4 team for that. So officially she is 1 step away from the National Team. This is another avenue towards being on the National Team directly thru their program. Was informed last night it is a pretty prestigious opportunity for her to be on both programs radar and to be invited to train with them. We are very proud of her and do NOT push her at all. She just loves playing. Going over to Spain this summer with them to play as well. It's crazy seeing your own flesh and blood get out there and kick some ass.

yeah, I'm familiar with the various levels and that's a great honor. Good luck to her in the future.

My daughter was fortunate to go to regionals twice with her club team but unfortunately fractured her arm in the first game (came back and played in the 3rd game and the quarterfinals and the next year came down with a bad case of strep throat in Utah that kept her out for all but the last game in the quarterfinals. These are great experiences for kids.

I knew that was coming Beer Boy and it is deserved! Was just trying to distract these guys from all the fighting between them.

You ADMIT to using the diversion technique. I often accuse people of it, but you're the first to ADMIT it. Of all the people to use sophisticated propaganda, I never expected you, my greatest hero, to partake of the world's evil. This is a day of shame and sadness in the extended jlprk family.

Best way to tone down the thread is to tell the guy who thinks he owns it to retire from the thread...

Neil Olshey was apparently on the radio with Dwight & Aaron today at 12:15... anyone catch the interview? Any interesting tidbits??

Yes sir!
Neil and Paul I think are on the same page, and that is a good thing for Portland TB fan's!
It's pretty clear that their plan was to coincide with GS & Cleveland trending downwards in 2020, and they would be in the next wave of teams that can contend. No guarantee's though, which is just fine, as its part of the game and challenge. But having a solid owner, GM, Coaching staff, sure will improve the odds of succeeding.
The NBA is FANtastic!

Bing Bango Bongo baby!
Climb that golden ladder lickety split.

...sorry if this was shared already, otherwise, enjoy!!! --> https://fireolshey.com/
I never understand why people who make those kind of sites have to make up or exaggerate things that happened. Personally I would give him another year but that doesn't mean I couldn't present a really strong argument as to why he should be fired without resorting to stupid tactics.

One thing he said was that the only time he's ever been part of a group that gave draft promise was back in 2005 (because Mike Dunleavey feel in love with some Russian prospect), and it was a horrible blunder, so he'll never do that.

You guys know how I feel about NO, but that site sucks. It’s drenched with hyperbole and completely one sided crap. I feel like if you wanted a case to fire NO one could do much better without the extra stuff, and come off a lot more level headed. You see the issue with this type of thing is when you start coming off as emotional and you’re only willing to tell one side of the story you lose credibility.

If someone wanted to fire me from my job and this was the type of crap they spewed I’d really hope my boss wouldn’t take it seriously.

...this site was not mine, this time, BTW :biglaugh:

Apparently, Neil thinks Zach Collins is at the same level as Deandre Ayton or Marvin Bagley...

FWIW, Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons both said on his podcast today that if they had to guess CJ wouldn’t be on the blazers next year. Threw out trades like Miles Turner for CJ and Fultz, #10, and/or Saric for CJ.

Zach Lowe in particular said he thinks we will see some big trades this summer because there is so many teams deep into the cap unhappy with their rosters so making trades is really their only way of making significant change.

Seconds later Lowe says that Portland sees Collins as a really good stretch 5. Which is what I have been saying for months, although I know this board thinks he’s a 4 all day long.

Also makes Nurkic situation this summer even more interesting, even though I don’t think you punt on Nurk even if you plan on Collins being the future at 5.

Miles Turner is an overrated talent. He regressed this year, badly. Saric is interesting though, but you already have Zach Collins(NOT A CENTER), to be the future PF.

If we could get Fultz + 10 + Saric from Philly, we'd be fools not to take it.
