Interesting that you picked 12 games. Ignoring the 45 point game (happened 13 games ago) and ignoring the two games where he scored 32 and 31 points that he had in that stretch.

because that's his last all-star level game, that's why. It was pretty clear what I was saying

and I didn't "ignore" those two 30 point games. They were part of that 12 game stretch. He also had a 6 point and 7 point game in that stretch. And in those two 30 point games, he averaged 1.5 assists and 2 rebounds. Those really aren't all-star worthy games. Those are Lou Williams/Jordan Clarkson type games; scorers bringing just scoring to the mix. And those two guys have combined for 27 seasons and exactly 0 all-star games

Simons has seven games of 30 or more points this season. Jordan Poole has 7 games of 30 or more points. Julius Randle has 10. I doubt any of the three will be in the all-star game

Hard to imagine Milwaukee trading Holiday for Ant. Same with Miami and Butler. The others, we'd have to include more than Ant, and even then I wonder.
Is Ant for DeRozan in the right package worth discussing?

Not in a million years could we get Holiday for Simon’s. Come on now

I think OG could be had for Ant if the Raptors have a trade partner for FVV.

Even when Nurk puts up a 20/10 game the impact is minimal.

Shades of Hassan Whiteside

I don't think it's wise to talk shit about guys we want traded. Rival GMs probably read every post on this board and this could really hurt Nurk's trade value.

wow...if that's true, my trade value must be really really low

Portlands only chance of winning more than they do now or have been the last few years is having another player at least equal to lillard. And then I have no idea how they would surround those two with enough talent to do much damage in the playoffs. Like a Paul George or Kawhi or AD type who stays healthy. Other than that, they will remain this type of middling .500 team.

I think adding Julius Randall would have gotten us pretty close to competing this season. And I think we could have done that by trading the #7 pick.

Not saying we should have or I wish we would have. But the feeling I got is they would have been willing to deal Randall and their pick to move up in the draft.
