Or maybe only interesting to me!

With the possible relocation of the Kings to Seattle, I'm curious if the league will realign the Divisions so that Portland and Seattle regain the natural "division" rivalry they're accustomed to.

Seems like the easiest way to do this may be to Keep the new Seattle franchise in their spot, the Pacific Division, and realign Portland to the Pacific while moving the Pheonix Suns into Portlands spot in the Northwest.

Not that it saves a tremendous amount on travel mileage over the course of the year, but Portland would play more games, closer to home than they do now. Plus, moving away from Oklahoma City who will have a stranglehold on the Northwest Division for the immediate future, may not be a bad thing.

Not a pressing issue, but something I thought about. I'm a traditionalist so a move back to the Pacific Division would be nice if that came about!

Yes, pacific division

Portland and Seattle to the Pacific

Phoenix to the Newly named NW division

Phoenix to the SW and Memphis to the newly named NW division

Phoenix to NW and then SW? Neither Phoenix nor Memphis are in the NW..

Pacific: LA x2, GSW, SEA, POR
Southwest: DAL, SAS, HOU, PHO, UTAH
Midwest: NO, MIN, MEM, OKC, DEN

I think that'd be the best way, it keeps all the California and Texas teams together and clears up the ridiculous Northwest division.

I like it. The only thing I would think about is switching OKC and Utah. It just seems like OKC should be with the Texas teams, and Utah should be with Denver.

I don't think the NBA is going to want to move more then a couple teams if they can help it. The idea of switching us with Phoenix makes sense. Then rename the division.
