I can't recall him using it. Anyhow, no mater how much he protests, Sly is not the gold standard.

That is, unless we're talking teeth.

This will be my next read:

Cool! I'm sure that will be a fascinating read for you.

BTW, weren't you going to interview a black lady you know and post it for us?

Yes, cool, indeed.

Glad you asked about the interview. It's still in the works. Her name is Karen. Her husband, Sanford, (whom @THE HCP is good friends with), has been in the NBA bubble in Orlando. Anyhoo, he's finally coming home after being over there for a few months. We are certainly being respectful of their reunion of sorts. As I mentioned, though, our interview is still in the works. Stay tuned.

To me this is going too far.
I watched a other video of the same type of action. The restaurant manager was a minority And so were half of the patrons.
I think this is going too far. This does not win people over for the just cause.
Yes, the Bureau of land management is going to far in selling off public land.

She's incredibly well-spoken and is clear about her message:

Isn’t that a bit of a dog whistle? Curious choice of words with all that is going on at the moment. Just sayin’.........

Why? Because she goes against traditional grains? She's ALL about helping to get Blacks out of these various conditions. She simply has chosen another path/means. towards those solutions. Is that not OK?

I wasn’t commenting on her. I was commenting on your choice of words to describe her. But you knew that......

I would say well-spoken, whether it was her...or anyone who speaks with such clarity and boldness as her. When (if) you watch the video, it's very clear how she conveys her points in such a clear, succinct, and passionate manner.

It's the reason why I also related I hope she runs for Congress. She definitely has the fabric for it. Completely impressive.

One man’s “impressive” is another man’s “completely disgusting”.......

I dont know how this kind rhetoric can help the cause.
Yep, this is going to far.

What were you thinking when you decided to share this? What were you hoping to accomplish?

Folks need to see the garbage that's going on out there. THIS NEEDS TO STOP ASAP!

Why, were you thinking of looking the other way and pretending it doesn't exist?? Mayors need to exact punishment! I mean, like, for reals!

And, in some cases, BLM needs to issue a CLEAR message as who they are...and who the others are.

The title of the thread is BLM going too far? If this is an example of it than yes IMHO the rhetoric is beyond the pale of discourse. To ignore it or consider it acceptable begs the question if any dissent or opinion outside the social media mob can be expressed and discussed? Or who is it that is the final arbiter of acceptable thought and opinion. Would you rather the folks with the guns get the position of authority? Violence begets violence. It is a lesson from history that should not be ignored. Escalating the level of violence in response can have predictable outcomes. It is often how authoritarian governance happens.

All of this is not going to stop because if it does than equity, equality, police reform, and all of the other issues get swept back under the rug, and get ignored again, like they have for so long.

All this is not going to stop until change happens

If you condone the level of violence and rhetoric we are currently experiencing I will caution you to be careful what you wish for.

I didnt say I condone any violence. I am simply stating I understand why some of the violence is happening.

Most of the violence though is coming from fringe groups, antifa, right wing groups, who are taking advantage of the situation and just want chaos.

emboldened by the rhetoric and existing violence. it will be met with harsher violence in push back guaranteed. to not speak out against the rhetoric or violence is no different than the silence dr. martin luther king,jr. spoke of in silence equating complicity.

No doubt it will be met with violence. I have many times on here spoken out against the violence and rhetoric of our current time.
