He's really been playing well, and with confidence, as of late. Blake will have his work cut out for him.

Jack dribbles
Blake steps aside
Jack goes by
Jack puts head down
Jack runs into Joel
Blazer ball

Doesn't seem like so much work for Blake.

I would imagine that crunch time would go something like this...

Play-By-Play:

Jarrett Jack turnover (1)

Brandon Roy three-point field goal

Jarrett Jack turnover (2)

Steve Blake three-point field goal (Brandon Roy assists)

Time out - Indiana

Jarrett Jack turnover (3)

End of Regulation

Too true.

haha JJ still gets hated on here, yet he is better than sergio and blake..let it go people, he is a solid point guard.

I'd say he's better than Sergio, but he and Blake are about on par. But that's like saying a kick in the balls is better than a knee to the balls.

Jack is still what he has been through his short career...a decent back-up point guard. Basically on par with Sergio and on par with Blake prior to this year. This year, Blake has actually been a decent starting caliber player. It's a career year, though, so it may be unlikely that Blake keeps it up.

But Portland definitely isn't worse off without Jack. He's not an upgrade on anyone Portland has at the position and Bayless projects to blow him away in ability in the future.

No need to hate on Jack. He is a good guy. I'm glad he is doing well these days for the Pacers. I will cheer for him when he is introduced. He has earned that.

I liked Jarrett Jack when he was here. I hope he does poorly against us, because I'm a Blazer fan before I'm a Jarrett Jack fan. Other than that, I wish him nothing but the best.

There is NO reason why the crowd shouldn't give him love!

I like Jack...I think he is a journeyman player, without much playmaking upside. But I wish him well, for sure.

If anybody boos him they're a worthless piece of shit. If you're at the game and catch somebody doing this, you have a moral obligation to donkey punch them in the back of the head.

There's no way in hell Jack bets booed. He'll get a nice ovation, guaranteed.

However, I'll be at the game, and I will heed your advice and donkey punch anyone that boos him.

Bayless will see the weaker version of himself and his dinosaur nature will take over. Bayless will be assessed a technical foul for eating the opposing PG, the referees will argue about who gets possession after someone has been eaten, the league will make a new rule about it after the fact.

I confess--I laughed. You gotta believe that in-game cannibalism would result in more than just a tech, though.

I like Jarrett. I hope he has a good game in a Pacers loss.

Jack seems like a very cool guy... if he gets booed I will be embarrassed for our fans. Jarrett never did anything to make people hate him, other than sloppy play.

I will for sure be clapping when Jack gets introduced. I may even go out to the team bus when the game is over to say I wish him the best.

I hope the fans give Jack a nice ovation on Wed. He played hard every night for us and was often times the only guy with any intensity out there on the court ready to kick some ass.

Jack's recent stats:
DATE OPP REB AST STL BLK PTS
3/1 Den 1 8 0 0 28
2/27 @Bos 3 3 1 0 14
2/25 Mem 3 6 2 0 20
2/23 @NY 3 3 2 0 33
2/22 Chi 5 5 2 1 16
2/20 @Min 4 5 2 1 18
2/18 @Cha 8 5 1 2 18
2/17 Phi 6 3 1 0 12

Jack should be welcomed back. He's a great guy and a solid combo-guard. He's Jerryd Bayless without the steroids! Besides, there's always this:

Seriously, do not boo Jack. I would be so embarassed as a Blazer fan.

From Elias Sports Bureau:

Jarrett Jack capped the highest-scoring week of his NBA career with a game-high 28 points in the Pacers' 100-94 win over the Nuggets. Jack, who started the week with a career-high 33-point performance at Madison Square Garden, averaged 23.8 points in four games over the seven days that ended on Sunday. It is Jack's highest scoring average for any seven-day span in his four-year NBA career.

Blake has gotten into a couple of shoving matches lately. With Oberto in SA and Bassy in Minny. That would be fun if him and JJack squared off!

if we boo jack ill be so disappointed and embarrassed.
