SHIT! I really hope we aren't trading away young players who are good and haven't reached their ceiling along with picks, for star players whose best ball is behind them.

All of the tanking and the Dame trade that was painful just to take a few ill advised stabs at winning a ring with guys who were great but are now past their prime would really be disheartening for me.

Yeah lets trade for Kawhi who might get suspended for taking money for doing jack shit but the fact they have done nothing to this point is kind of surprising so at worst they might fine him and suspend him for like 10 games IF that and move on.

I am mixed on both players -- Giannis is a NO unless he willing to sign a 2 yr extension min and Kawhi taking out what I just mentioned my offer if GM and have not checked to see if this would work is this ...

Sharpe and Grant and 1 future 1st -- this is what I would offer to the Clippers and Mil just add One more First and Murray ( LOL ) -- this is it ( deal would have to be done after new league yr for Sharpe's new deal to kick in )

Do it. Get back Myles Turner in the deal.

Guessing this includes at least the swaps too. Would you do it?
FUCK no.
Let's see - remind me the last time trading for a just-about-over-the-hill superstar worked for a franchise? If you say Toronto you're wrong because Kawhi was still good then. We're talking the last 3 or 4 teams that traded for KD as their "final piece" and did worse than they did the season before. We're talking Milwaukee trading for Dame. Has nobody been fucking paying attention?

Obviously there are some that aren't paying attention. Or they're desperate, or they want to make a "Big Splash" etc.

Joe seemed to indicate during his exit interview that the big splash wasn't a vet superstar on the back end of his career he said it was a young talent that would have taken us into the lux tax.

If Joe stays on as the GM and if his history has taught us anything it's that he will likely pull the trigger on that trade in the off season. He's really slow to pull the trigger at the deadline and has a few times just kicked that can into the off season.

That might be some hopium from me because I don't want us to abandon the timelines of Scoot, Shae, Tou, Deni and Clingan even if one or some of those guys get traded. My fingers are crossed that Dame will be leading a team of young players back to the playoffs.

Probably Bridges

I feel like Kawhi wouldn’t work out well here. Giannis, Bam, or Booker are the 3 I’d take the gamble on. I don’t think our players are as good as we think.

I would put Banchero ito that mix as well. I’m not sure why Orlando would move off from him at this time but I’ve heard his name thrown out a couple times.

Banchero would be a guy I'd be happy to see us get. I don't like the idea of Booker (never really impressed by him) or Giannis (can't stay healthy and his best seasons are in the past). If we could get Bam that would be huge.

I mean, it just as easily could have been someone like Coby White. I'd have to assume they were looking for decent shooters.

They absolutely would've before the playoffs, and they still might if Detroit come back to win.

I don't like Banchero: he's a very inefficient scorer and an indifferent defender. He's poor man's Carmelo. In fact, the Cam Boozer doubters always use a comparison with Banchero as an insult.
