If I was a pro athlete I would go around liking the most bizarre shit on social media just to mess with people like you

I'd go find the most random tweet from some 80 year old grandma and I'd like that shit.

so...you like grandma porn, eh

The nice thing about Jabari Walker’s surprise performance so far is that he’s not doing anything that he can’t maintain. If he was shooting some crazy high percentage from 3, I’d say this was just a hot streak. But he’s making the hustle plays, making the right passes, playing solid D, making the right cuts….

I think the Blazers found a second round gem. He’s only going to get better…

I think something that helped keep his stat line clean was that he never tried to do too much. In that first game, TW tried way too hard to force plays. GBIII did the same but didn't have as many opportunities. Jabari got his rebounds and steals and got the ball to a guard. How many times did you see a guy grab a rebound and try to run the break, only to turn it over or take a bad shot?

Grant, Winslow, Watford, and Walker, seems like they’re pretty stacked at PF. I wouldn’t worry about any of them on the court. Seems like center is a bigger position of need, and maybe SF but there aren’t any free agent wings really worth a contract.

Absolutely agree. I am way more comfortable about the depth at PF than I was a week ago.
The 3 Ws, (Walker, Watford, and Winslow) are all different types of PFs than can back up Grant.
Sure it would be nice if one of them was a star, but I like the depth.

Now we need a 3rd type of center to round out that position. Someone long and quick for his position who can get out and guard the perimeter when needed. (or just the high pick n roll)

That kinda sounds like Eubanks tbh. I think we need someone with size closer to Nurks (whiteside/DMC) or someone with length that can pick and pop (Aldridge)

I know they don't play the same position and I hate that we didn't get to see Shaedon, but the silver lining of his injury is the discovery of our PF of the future. Jabari Walker can contribute this year. He deserves the roster spot, not a two-way contract. I'm ecstatic!

Blazers' Jabari Walker looks like the biggest steal of the NBA Draft so far during Summer League
https://ftw.usatoday.com/2022/07/blazers-jabari-walker-nba-summer-league-stats-highlights

So we drafted two mysteries. Sharpe and how did he drop to us Jabari.

"He is shooting 37.5 percent on his 3-pointers... adding more value to the team than just his scoring, leads drafted players in total rebound percentage (22.3 percent) during Summer League. It’s worth noting that the advanced stats love Walker, too. Although these stats are a bit flawed, for context: Walker leads all drafted players in Win Shares (0.7) and PER (33.0) and he trails only first-round pick Tari Eason in FIC (40.1) thus far."

Where are these stats even tracked?

The Blazers would be wise to lock this kid up on a long term cheap contract while they can. Give his two way contract to Didi or a backup center.

I haven't watched any of the SL games, but it sounds like people have been somewhat impressed with Kyle Alexander. Does he legitimately have the 7'4"-7'5" wingspan I've seen reported, and a 9'2" standing reach? I could see our "poverty franchise" keeping him around as a 3rd big on a 2-way deal if we sign Jabari to a proper contract.

I like Drew, but he is not very long, nor is he very quick. I like his motor and he plays smart. But he is only 6'9" with a 6'11" wing span. (Not sure about his standing reach) I was thinking of someone who could guard a healthy AD. (or maybe even a Chet) I don't know if Alexander is that guy but I like his length and his foot speed. Defense for this 3rd center is imperative. Of course, we need to take salary into consideration.

Yeah, I remember reading bout him when he was in Miami. He only started playing basketball late in high school. Looking at his stats he had pretty interesting numbers in Spain last season. He averaged 10 ppg and a block and a half in only 22 minutes per game, and shot nearly 70% from the line and 33% from three. And thats the best international league outside of the NBA, by far. Worth a look.

He's a big with springs though. He has a 36" standing vertical. Nurk has what, an 15-18 inch vert? Not bashing Nurk because he defends well and does get his blocks. Just sayin Eubanks can get up there just fine with a 6-11 wing span.

Yeah I think Eubanks moves and jumps well, hes a good athlete which makes up for the lack of length. I'm also not sure about his measurements. His listed height is only slightly higher than Watfords (6'8.75".) Well, Eubanks is either taller than his listed height, or Watford is shorter, because theres a pretty significant difference between the two, but maybe im blind.

I had him at 6-10 but yeah there are different numbers floating and i see him as bigger than 6-8? IDK to be honest?

Hes listed at 6'9 but I think hes probably a little taller than that. He looks closer to 6'10. Theres no official measurement on him so hard to tell.

I see Watford as a PF. But he does have a nice wing span at 7'2". I love the way he attacks the basket and loved seeing his two post-up moves on the baseline last night. I guess against 2nd team centers he would be ok, but if he could just improve more on his 3pt shooting he could be our version of Grant Williams next season.

His numbers as a starter last year were super encouraging. 15/6/3/1/1 splits on good efficiency. The only players in the league that averaged at least 1 block, 1 steal, and 3 assists last year were Giannis, Embiid, KAT, Jokic, and Vucevic. And I honestly think he could do it across a full season, especially as he gets more experience. I see him as a future starting caliber PF. If his three point shot develops, mama mia

Curious as to what Blevins will do going forward. He’s not going to be on our roster and he isn’t playing on any summer league roster. He’s just hanging out in Vegas with the guys. My guess is he’ll “find” a new role within the organization somehow.

I’ll take your word for it
