The Bakersfield Jam (12-18) topped the Texas Legends (15-16) for the second straight night with a 117-105 victory Saturday night. Phoenix Suns assignee Archie Goodwin led the Jam with 25 points and five rebounds off the bench.
The first half remained closed between the two teams as there were nine lead changes and eight ties. Texas went into the break with a 47-45 lead and extended it to as many as nine points (68-59) midway through the third quarter. However, a couple of three-pointers made by the Jam ignited the team to finish the quarter on a 19-8 run and took a 78-76 lead into the final frame.

The fourth quarter was the main difference in the game as Bakersfield outscored Texas 39-29, thanks in part to the Jam attacking the rim and getting to the foul line (BAK- 17/19 FTs; TEX- 3/6 FTs).

Overall, the Jam shot better from the field (48.1%-44.2%), held the advantage in rebounds (55-34), second chance points (23-10), and points in the paint (52-44).

In addition to Goodwin's team-high 25 points, Ike Diogu (22 points, 12 rebounds) and Damion James (21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks) each recorded a double-double in Bakersfield's win. James Nunnally had 15 points and three steals while Renaldo Major contributed 12 points off the bench. Jared Cunningham finished with 10 points and a game-high eight assists.

The Legends were paced by Devin Ebanks who had a game-high 26 points. P.J. Hairston had 17 points and Mickey McConnell posted 16 points and seven assists.

Bakersfield will hit the road next for a match against the Springfield Armor on Monday, February 10. Tip-off is set at 4:00 p.m. PST.
