Same here. I am glad a bunch of people didn't get killed. The lady who did knowingly broke into a government building a tried to get to a restricted area. She was was shot. That is on her.

do you really believe that if one of the protesters who broke into police hq was shot and killed in the act of breaking in, there wouldn't have been a massive out cry from the left?

im not buying it.

This happens all the time. And for far less than breaking into a fully staffed government building while yelling threats.

12 year old black kids with toy guns get shot, literally within seconds of police arriving. Without the responsible officers being punished.

You see. That's why the left protest.

These fools throw fits like this because their guy was legitimately voted out after being the most devisive, embarrassing, and ignorant president in the history of the US.

You see, there really is no comparison between the two sides. One has a legit beef, the other side is just ignorant and morally corrupt.

There wasn't. There was support for peaceful protests. Nearly everybody was opposed to violence and damage, and wanted the people who were committing it to be arrested and charged.

That doesn't mean they wanted peaceful protesters beaten or harassed, or arrested. That's who people were supporting.

You don't get to stop all protests as soon as one person commits a crime. You get to arrest that person. That, I support.

Just like I support these ignorant idiots peacefully protesting in DC. That's their right. As long as they don't commit violent, damaging crimes.

i don't disagree with the bulk of this. However i still feel breaking the law is breaking the law. Whether a legit beef or ignorance and corruption being the facilitating action.
I may be wrong and i will review the best i can, but i swear i recall most people here saying we need to dismiss the vandalism and let them act out. Its what people do when feeling utterly helpless.

now whether legit or not, these magafools in dc feel helpless. they feel corruption within the electorate exists and they protested it.

to me the protests are from the same emotion of feeling helpless and lost, etc.

Again, one side might have more validation for their emotions than the other but that doesnt dismiss illegal activity.
I have been for the peaceful protests from the beginning, but when i drew a line in S2 with my opinions regarding the violence and vandalism, i was pretty much shot down as a borderline racist here. Several people here called me a racist in a round about way.

so im not sure i accept your premise. However i will try to backtrack and validify my opinion.

See above. Im pretty sure you are not a curate of your assessment from this last summer.
But i will backtrack and review before going any further in case im wrong.
I also recall @ABM voicing opposition for the violence and vandalism and was blatantly and pointedly labeled a racist.

I think its one of the few good things he has done. Our media is almost as corrupt as our government. Spreading fake news from both sides trying to push a biased narrative.

We absolutely need to put a stranglehold on media reports oppressing, dismissing, twisting or flat out changing facts in their articles to meet their view.

Big media is no different than big corporation where their #1 priority is revenue generation. They find their niche and milk it to the max. The idea of an unbiased media that just report news is a pipe dream any more.

Maybe. Doesnt change the fact they broke in and committed an illegal act putting themselves in that position.

I am sure there will be an outcry from the right about the maga lady getting shot. She still broke in a government building and was trying to get to a restricted area as part of a mob to attack the vice president, senators, and congresspeople.

I have always condemned the violence and destruction from the far left as I have the right. I have supported peaceful protest not violence.

The problem with media isn’t that it’s biased, even though it would be best if it were not. The problem is that only smart people can decipher truth vs conspiracy. I don’t mind different news outlets and their bias actually. Different perspectives are good. The issue is that the collective IQ of people storming the capitol yesterday was very low. That’s when we need someone to step in— either the media of their choice, leaders, or law enforcement. It’s fun having little rodents as pets but once they leave their cage you gotta go bring them back in before they start eating your shit.

that's the thing. It's not about conservative vs liberal, as some of my friends are conservatives. It's "are you sane" vs "are you insane".

I don't like insane people who call for the overthrow of the Government, regardless of their ideology.
