I know that there's no way we can discuss this without all of the raw emotions of the last few days influencing our comments. I'm 100% in favor of arresting all of the asshats who illegally entered the Capitol Building on Tuesday and trying them for whatever crimes they may be reasonably charged with. I have no problem with going after Trump for instigating this crap. That said, if we don't believe in the rule of law, if we're willing to condemn everyone as being guilty without a trial, I'm not sure that there's any moral high ground left in this country. Regarding this woman, all we know for sure is that she seems to have committed breaking and entering and trespass (or whatever the appropriate similar laws are for entering Federal properties illegally). We don't know anything about her motives. We saw similar stuff take place on a nightly basis at the Federal Courthouse in Portland all summer long. You do that kind of stuff and you risk getting shot by law enforcement, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't at least recognize that a human life was needlessly lost.

No where did i not recognize that a human life was lost needlessly. I just don't feel sorry for her for doing something incredibly stupid, where her death was justified. Like the idiots who speed in their cars because they're stupid and young (like Ryan Dunn from Jackass fame).

We do know about her motives, watch the rants she has online.

Are you suggesting she was there by accident?? She knew exactly what she was doing.

I agree with this, but I see the other side. She was a hater, period.

Let's make it happen! I'll be there taking the bets. I can also ref.

I'm giving @Orion Bailey good odds to beat a few fools. He's got the cardio and the practice of fighting all sort of different styles.

Damn, I really miss live action. Should've went to watch fight cuz fight.

I've seen a light heavyweight boxing championship and I saw UFC 102 live. It's tough to beat those events.

I haven't seen her rants, but my assumption is that she was there intentionally and was one of the gullible souls who bought Trump's line of BS. What I don't know is whether she was just there to vent her frustrations and got caught up in the moment, or if it was her intent to actually harm people and try to overthrow, or at least prevent, the House and Senate from doing their constitutional jobs with respect to certifying the EC votes. There's a world of difference between being a gullible loudmouth ranter illegally entering government property to make a political point and committing treason. One gets you time in the clink. The other carries a potential death sentence. We have a judicial system to figure out which is appropriate.

Unfortunately, there's nothing rare about hate these days. It's the most common thing we see in response to virtually every political or social action these days. Hate doesn't know right or left, it just goes about making people dehumanize the "other" so that they can justify being inhumane in their actions against them.

They have to have that theft on camera....how is that thief not arrested already?

They will be. Needs to be quick. Can't allow for classified files to be leaked online.

I agree they shouldn't be forced to host anything they don't want to.

That said, banning him is a pretty bad idea. It pushes him and his ilk further into the Parler cesspool. The last thing his people need is to hear only his voice more.
They are only hearing his voice anyway. And you can bet parler is going to be watched very closely.

Putting them all in one place makes them easier to monitor.

I will say this, the damage done during the summer at the courthouse and around Portland was wrong. There is a difference between protesting and rioting. Most of the rioters came out to use the protest as cover to cause problems. I am in no way condoning any of the violence or rioting. My question as you try to compare what she was doing and the protest and riots last summer, at what point were any of the people last summer trying to force their way into a room that was occupied any any senators or congressmen or women? At what point were they walking around with guns and zip tie cuffs looking to kidnap any elected officials. She was in no way a peaceful protester. She was not breaking into some retail store, not that that is acceptable either, but she was trying to force her way into a secure room in our national capital where our elected officials were trying to stay out of harms way with these terrorist's who were trying to occupy one of the foundations of our nation. So to say we say similar stuff take place at any point last year is so far from reality it is not funny.
