<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">February 28, 2004 -- The love is mutual. Jason Kidd is all for Antonio McDyess becoming a Net next year.
"I wouldn't mind having him on my side," Kidd said after practice yesterday. "He has something to prove. I think he is still young. Why not? I know he can play. Given a chance, he would do well. He would fit in with this team."
Right now, Kidd and the Nets are clearly focused on this season. With the Lakers due tomorrow, they have to avoid the temptation of looking past the gritty Heat this afternoon.
The 29-year-old McDyess would be an interesting free agent signing. The ex-Knick with the bad knees could flourish with a healthy half-season with the Suns.
"If you are hungry and you want it, you can do anything," Kidd said. "I know he is a competitor. If that is the case, but I can't talk about that because I'll get in trouble. That is up to him."

Wow Jason Kidd wanting another injury plagued player to come to New Jersey? Didn't he learn anything with recruiting Alonzo Mourning.
