RIP....at least she went out doing what she loved..
I definitely tested out the governor on a few cars when I was younger driving wide open 2-lane county roads in Iowa...speed kills.....I was shocked when I visited my home town after the war how many guys I played sports with died in high speed crashes...hot rods and motorcycles..In Iowa you can build up some serious speed with no traffic for miles....long flat roads.....personally, I'm a Prius putter
I never liked high speeds....all my friends did thoughI definitely tested out the governor on a few cars when I was younger driving wide open 2-lane county roads in Iowa...
Yeah, it was rare for me to do that, but the temptation got the better of me on a few occasions. Had to pray no deer would pop out...so dumb thinking back on it....never letting my kids drive now..hahaI never liked high speeds....all my friends did though
It's sad, but when you put yourself at risk like that, there's always a chance it could go badly. I'm sure that's something she considered.
To me the sport is like walking on a high wire.....if you can get to the other side in one piece it's impressive

I understand it was her passion. But she was trying to break her own world record. I don't see the point of it until someone had beaten her reord
Rip

Well, actually it is the equipment that does the deed and hauls the ballast to the fame.

I once got my parent's 70s Olds Cutlass up to 125 MPH going down hill on a long straight stretch of road very late at night on Hwy 26 headed East. I was in my early 20s and very stupid.I definitely tested out the governor on a few cars when I was younger driving wide open 2-lane county roads in Iowa...
