Except when he didn't in the link I provided. And we've had record revenues with the tax cuts.
Oh well, I figure the longer the Joe the Plumber story stays alive, the more the blue-collar workers realize exactly what they are facing if they dare question Obama.
Yeah...but thats not true, Obama didn't say that. In the article you linked, nowhere does it say Obama would extend the Bush tax cuts because not doing so would hurt the economy. The only thing that alludes to that is the author of the article saying, "Democrat Barack Obama says he would delay rescinding President Bush's tax cuts on wealthy Americans if he becomes the next president and the economy is in a recession, suggesting such an increase would further hurt the economy."
That of course is completely contradicted by the next paragraph, and an actual Obama quote.
"Nevertheless, Obama has no plans to extend the Bush tax cuts beyond their expiration date, as Republican John McCain advocates. Instead, Obama wants to push for his promised tax cuts for the middle class, he said in a broadcast interview aired Sunday.
"Even if we're still in a recession, I'm going to go through with my tax cuts," Obama said. "That's my priority.""
