I kind of like the Rockets for Josh Smith. Gives them a kind of a bad-ass team with many head-cases but that could potentialy have a lot of talent

It's a bit odd that Josh Smith could be their 'missing piece'. They certainly played better last season with him than this season without him.

In that trade, former Duck Maarty Luenen managed to get his name in something associated with the NBA. I'm guessing it's been a while....

It's like trading Bubonic Plague back and forth. Hot potato that nobody wants.
He's a serious cancer to every team he's on. Doc is genius to make this move.

The question is why did he sign him in the first place when it was so obvious he was a bad fit.

According to an article I read Kaman is on the short list to be traded for draft picks

Traded to the Clippers?

In general it makes total sense; if you're not going to worry as much about Meyers's future because he didn't re-sign with you and made a silly bet on himself, you don't need to keep his trainer around either.

I suspect the Blazers are resting Kaman to keep him healthy for the trade deadline, or for an outside chance at the playoffs.

then why did he sign him this offseason if he's such a genius I bet he got next to nothing in return

Hilarious that they shipped him off the day after he and Stephenson were slap boxing on the bench during a game.

I hope he shoots a lot of 3s at the end of close games for the Rockets
